If you don’t follow DeStorm Power on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, you’re missing out on what might be the hottest show on the web (in more ways than one). It’s called Caught, and it’s a next-generation take on R. Kelly’s Trapped In The Closet that is averaging more than 12 million views per episode.

In the first episode of Caught, DeStorm gets caught cheating when his girlfriend unexpected shows up at his place on a Tuesday. Across the next 12 installments (and counting), an intricate plot has developed, with guest stars showing up to portray side characters and contribute their own voices to the series’ “hip hopera” format. Performers who have appeared in Caught so far include several of DeStorm’s fellow online video stars, such as King Bach and Klarity, as well as Hollywood notables like New Girl’s Lamorne Morris.

It’s been five years since Michael Jackson passed away and earlier today his estate released the new music video for the posthumous hit “A Place With No Name.”

The clip includes outtakes from the King of Pop’s 1992 video “In the Closet” along with a man and a woman dancing on the beach.

And while many fans are thrilled to hear some of Jackson’s unreleased tracks, his brother Jermaine Jackson is horrified at the material.

On last night's edition of Jimmy Kimmel's Us talk show, Benedict Cumberbatch lent his gravelly, ever-so-English baritone to the work of R Kelly, whose latest opus Black Panties is released next week. He recited the lyrics of the song Genius, to the whooping delight of the audience, and the hilarity of the internet.

Kimmel has form in this regard, having previously employed Gary Oldman to recite a passage from Kelly's autobiography Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me, in which Kells meets 2Pac and the pair talk of a collaborative album (in the video below).

Bones is finally making the move to Fridays at 8/7c this week after years of dodging the oft-stigmatized night. But executive producer Stephen Nathan isn’t fretting about the show’s new home.

South Park is perhaps the most misunderstood show out there: it is seen generally as a potty-mouthed immature comedy made by a pair of bullies, but in fact it is a potty-mouthed immature comedy filled with deep political and social insight. It is also a show that critiques modern day life more thoroughly and interestingly than any other show before or since made by a pair of evil geniuses.

The animated comedy crosses the lines of convention combining highly adult themes and jokes with a childish animation style as well as telling stories from the points of view of the mostly-innocent children, to add a gloriously inappropriate perspective to some of the more colourful themes.

All in all, South Park is a unique show with over two hundred brilliant episodes but we count down today a compelling, exciting and undeniably subjective list of the 15 best of those episodes.

15. Trapped In The Closet...

January 8 isn't even close to being one of the most common birth dates in the year, and yet, somehow, three musical geniuses were all born on this day: Elvis Presley, David Bowie and R. Kelly.

There are so many wonderful things about R. Kelly‘s seemingly never-ending “hip-opera” Trapped In The Closet, be it that in the first episode he chooses to rhyme the word “dresser” with “Berreta”, or just simply that it’s still actually going on after, like, seven years. But his zany, midget-clad musical masterpiece might be getting the Broadway treatment, given that R. Kelly has reportedly been offered a deal to turn the whole saga into an all singin’, all dancin’ extravaganza.

How exactly somebody would break down the intricately-crafted chapters is currently unknown, given that the story is so complex and tightly wound that a single change in the narrative could reduce the impact of the work in its entirety. Or maybe that’s not that case at all (which it isn’t), because Trapped In The Closet is perhaps the most bizarrely-realised work of art to have ever emerged...

Kelly debuted the next 18 chapters of his Ridiculousness 'n' Blues opera Trapped In The Closet in New York last night ahead of its Friday premiere on IFC, and—as he recently hinted—he revealed that he has no plans of fixing that dripping faucet anytime, promising the audience another "85 chapters sitting in the studio, waiting for you guys." Too bad I didn't attend last night's press preview of the new season of R. Kelly's Trapped In The Closet, which debuts on IFC this Friday, November 23. I was all tied up most of the day, yesterday, and I couldn't make it, unfortunately; because if I did, I'd have a full report for you on what to expect during this new season. Instead, I'm relying on others who did attend for a fun-down of all that happened, including an appearance by R. Kelly himself after the screening, during which he talked about and revealed a number of items related to the series, most notably that he's working on a stage adaptation of the series, thanks to interest from Broadway...

A couple of hours ago, I posted an entry which reported news that R. Kelly said the news season of his Trapped In The Closet series would begin the day after Thanksgiving, promising at least 20-already-shot chapters, with a hundred or so more to come (the original saga was 22 chapters long). Well... fans of the series won't have to wait that long, because IFC has just released the first episode of the new series, or chapter 23, which is embedded below, and features a cameo by Michael K. Happy Thanksgiving, indeed! R&B star R. Kelly has given a release date to the 23rd chapter (yes, 23rd chapter!) to his wildly popular hip-opera Trapped In the Closet.

Just in time for the holidays, the video will air November 23 (Black Friday) on IFC. According to the cable channel, a few new faces have been thrown into the mix: "Dr. Perry, a therapist at Rufus and Cathy’s church guiding them through marriage counseling and Beeno, a powerful underworld kingpin." Both characters will be played by R. Kelly, 45, himself.

To prepare yourself for the next chapter, IFC is having a Trapped in the Closet marathon beginning Thanksgiving day at 10:00 a.m. Et/Pt.
