The leather pieces on the Moblin costumes were costumes from Waterworld (1995) and rented/modified by the creators. The cast and crew refer to the leather pieces as "the only good thing that came out of Waterworld," as featured on the DVD commentary.
Make-up artist Jenn Rose had to work around Joseph D. Reitman's (Glorm the Moblin) beard for his character's make-up because he was involved in a separate production at the time.
