The expectation was too high. I thought it would be another cry. I didn't expect it to be a little worse. There are many metaphors, but if the audience doesn't understand the background culture, they can't interpret it. After reading it, they are completely confused. Such metaphors belong to the director's personal narcissism. The suspense in the first half is well done, and gradually collapses in the second half. Maybe it's just to see something new in the mainland where God and ghost themes are not allowed.
Malaysia is a magical place where west meets east, so multiculcure is expected here, and in the most provincial rural area on thai-malay border, where you get to see the most fantastic and mysterious and mythical stories happening, combined with different cultural understandings and backgrounds of people living there, would definitely meet all your fantasies about Indo-china world.
