I watch a lot of these movies and, yes, they're very much one like the other, but that's part of their charm.
However, what is it casting directors see in Jessica Lowndes that I'm not seeing?
She's so stilted every single time she delivers her lines and is so flat and emotionless. She delivers her lines, most of the time, as though she's remembering them as she goes along, as though someone is feeding her the lines via an ear piece.
I've seen actors in high school plays deliver lines better than Jessica Lowndes.

I definitely love a cute fall movie and this one hit the mark on the small town and autumn decor. The actors were okay, the plot was okay, it was overall okay but with a very cute setting!

The acting was absolutely terrible, even for a movie such as this. A supermodel looking librarian, (by the way to all the librarians out there it's not personal, but how many of you wear designer clothes and own a car that is most likely more than your income in a year?) Hollow and tone deaf to me, even for the genre. Thumbs down.

First, you may have noticed the title is different. It seems the title has changed to make it seem more Christmasy. It's not a Christmas movie.
It IS a good, heart-warming romance set in Montana during the autumn season. I rather enjoyed watching this with my wife. It feels a bit like a Christmas Romance, however. The acting isn't bad either. It's worth a watch while snuggled up in front of a fire. Maybe add a hot chocolate...

Do not put on this movie, you will regret it.
I'm sorry but this was terrible. To find a more cheesy story you'll have to search HARD! Worst movie I've watched in a while! Pretty bad acting too, could mostly be the plot who made them bad, but the girl in the leading role should do something else or another genre if you ask me.

Very predictable story with several cliché tropes including The Misunderstanding.
There is one tiny twist. It was foreshadowed, but it wasn't entirely clear how it would play. It does play out very nicely with a little extra sentimentality. Is it enough to raise this otherwise totally average movie slightly above average? Up until that point, things were a bit slow. And at the point where Taylor is laboring to pull out a miracle, the director's attempt at suspense was dragged out too long. What comes after is good, a great climax, but that's not enough.
It seemed to me like Chad Michael Murray wasn't quite natural. A bit too much arrogance like Joel expected that Taylor would just swoon into his lap. Clearly Taylor was growing attached, but I didn't feel the chemistry like I do in the movies where you just know it's there.
Speculation here: GAC Family appears to be trying to emulate Hallmark and might even be trying to replace it. Hallmark has made a turn in the last year which is very unpopular with some fans, and very popular with others. Possibly GACF is trying to hang on to Hallmark's former style. They've lured some stars and I think a top exec. This movie may be one of it's early attempts. (Lowndes and Murray are together again in a Christmas movie in a few weeks.) The Christmas season is going to be interesting this year in this genre.

I couldn't get past the historical record problem. Seattle wasn't settled in the 1700s. The region hadn't even been explored. The rest is a typical holiday romance.

When librarian Taylor Harris suddenly loses her job, she moves back to her small Montana hometown. There, she becomes involved in the fight to help save her brother's small hotel from tycoon Joel Sheenan, who wants to renovate it. Back in her Montana hometown, a librarian struggles to save her brother's charming old hotel... and ends up falling in love with a builder.
Predictable? Totally. Water with sugar? Quite. Silly and naive? Also. Like to watch? Completely. I love these low-budget unpretentious ones. Cute little faces in love, all very convenient... The character sounds ham, but I've loved Chad since One Three Hill... Silly and cute...

This is such a simple attempt to make a romantic movie ..it lacked interesting dialogue, chemistry and reminded me of everything I've ever seen before.. enough to make me shut it off halfway..

A very light hearted, meaningful and sweet movie. Storyline reminds me of Bollywood movies. Wonder I don't see any reviews written down for such a nice movie. I write a review only if a movie hangs around in my mind after seeing it and does not go off until I have recommended a few friends to see it. This is such a kind of movie, very innocent and meaningful.
Hobby lobby called. They asked who stole all of their fake foliage and fall decor. Like for real. Every item in the warehouse is stuffed in this movie. We enjoyed making fun of the fall decorations throughout. Plus Chad Michael Murray was a bonus of course. I was wanting to watch a movie set in the fall - and if you are as well then I'd recommend. You can definitely tell it's autumnal by the approximately 100 fall decorations scattered around every single scene. Overall it's cute and we enjoyed it! A cute romance story with mild cringe. I'd say it's above average. It is somewhat unpredictable at times which is rare for this type of move.

Couldn't watch for more than 15 mins. Kept asking myself why am I wasting my time. Too predictable & boring. All the overly sweet acting was too much.

This is very stereotypical, with no real twist or depth in the story, just like it was done by a 10 years old,
It is not bad tho, it just lacks a lot of aspects to it,
could still watch it, but never as a special movie.

Welp, I'm ending my restful long weekend of doing basically nothing but watching movies and napping on a very low note with this one. This movie has about as much substance as a talking rock. Okay, it's an attempt at a romcom, I totally get it, but it is so Hollywood abnormally unrealistic that I barely got through it, in fact I think I made tea three times. I don't like being harsh, but it's just not good. The story is super predictable and very child like, not even teenage level. I can't really explain it and I think I now have to find one more movie to watch just to negate this one. I really would not waste your time with this, I'm sorry to say.

Ah well ... sometimes I myself do not know why I watch the movies I watch. I think that makes sense ... right? Anyway, this isn't a bad movie by any means - it is full of cliches though. But when you have Jessica Lowndes starring does it really matter? Not to knock any of the other actors (doing a good job considering the source material they are working with), but she is quite fine.
Depending on your liking you may feel the same about the male leads in this. Beautiful people all around and a story that is as predictable as they get. With added drama at certain times to up the stakes. But the outcome is inevitable ... by the way is this a hallmark movie as they say? I think it would make sense if it was - from what I've heard of them ... anyway, you know what you're getting (literally) ... so decide for yourself if this is ... "tasty" enough for you.

I really like this autumnal past v present movie. There's a couple of stupid things like leaving the car window car open overnight in the chilly weather, but importantly it's a movie all generations can watch together, which suits our household great. There are very few movies where I identify with all the characters, but this is defo one of them.

This movie was actually titled "An Autumn Romance" not "Colors of Love." Interesting and should have been a red flag that they changed the movie title. Regardless of the movie's name change, this is a dog, wuf, wuf.
This thing makes me long for the old style test pattern. Don't waste your time.

Couldn't get past the race agenda and blatant Ram Truck advertising. There"s a reason these types of movies have been so popular, but it seems the film makers have lost touch with their audience.
Seattle librarian and brilliant researcher Taylor Harris (Jessica Lowndes) loses her job from a lack of funding. Her brother invites her to his small Montana town. She slides off the road and Joel Sheenan (Chad Michael Murray) comes to her aid. It turns out that her brother is leading the opposition against Joel's remodeling of a hundred year old hotel into a destination resort. She needs to find a past event which could make the hotel a historical landmark and stop the remodeling.
This came out on Amazon who seems to be trying to do a bit of Hallmark. It is what it is. The stakes are annoyingly low. The meet-cute is sugary without much spice. The story never threatens to get too dramatic. CMM is playing it so nice that he would never do anything mean. The romance is kept at a low simmer by these two performers. It's never in doubt that everybody was always going to figure it out.

On Prime Video, this movie is called Winter Romance.
Which name is the correct name?
Cute movie during Christmastime. It's a sweet family movie that keeps you on your toes and sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.
