Ali Fazal of Fukrey fame will feature in Universal Studios’ biggest franchise of all time Fast and Furious.
Ali is jubilant to be a part of Fast and Furious 7 which is slated for a 2014 release. It is believed that the 26-year-old has already shot his scenes with none other than Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel for the movie.
The talented actor plays the role of a mad tycoon in the upcoming venture of the hit series. Though Ali is appearing in a cameo his character in Fast and Furious 7 in all certainty could bring plum offers for the young man in India and overseas.

The third edition of I-view Film festival will be held from September 18-26, 2010 in Manhattan. The festival will screen over 25 features, documentaries and shorts. Ek Tho Chance and Saluun produced by Pritish Nandy Communications have won top honours at the 43rd Worldfest Houston.
Saluun, directed by first time director Nikhil Bhat won the Silver Remi award. Ek Tho Chance directed by Saeed Akhtar Mirza, won the Special Jury Award in the Foreign Features category. The ten day festival ran from April 9-18.
“The jury members decided that Saluun should be awarded the Silver Remi award for its honest effort at showing the spirit of rural India and its intelligent humour and Ek Tho Chance, the Special Jury Award for its high-value content and cinematic excellence," says Kathleen Haney, Program Director, WorldFest Houston.

Ek Tho Chance tells the tale of Mumbai city and the millions who get off the train at Vt station every second of the day hoping to latch on to the magic of Mumbai. It is a colourful mural of the lives of individuals from the city’s diverse cultural, social and economic strata.
Gaarud is a twelve minute film about a room of a shady lodge near the railway station in a small town. It gives glimpses of the lives of people who are caught in the frame of the room, unable to escape.
