Same as God of War (2018), it's fairly violent and bloody, though much more so than its predecessor. Kratos can dismember, behead and eviscerate his enemies. Combat scenarios are relatively violent, but still cartoonish. Teenagers, and mature pre-teens should have no issue playing this.

Kratos and Atreus fight and kill a varge variety of enemies, some of them are human but the vast majority are fantasy creatures and monsters. Enemies are decapitated, stabbed, dismembered, stomped and ripped apart, with visible splashes of blood appearing. Cutscenes depict a character getting brutally choked to death, a character losing his arm and a character getting stabbed in the chest.

Infrequent uses of "Fuck", and more frequent uses of "Shit". Other words are seen in the single digits. As before Kratos is the only character in the game who doesn't swear but everyone else does. Atreus occasionally swears and these are always in quick succession.

Thor drinks frequently.
