Creative Stew is unveiling an eclectic TV and film slate at Singapore’s Asia TV Forum and Market (Atf).
Creative Stew, a decade old Malaysian content production company with operations in Singapore and India, is best known for “That Cover Girl,” the first Malaysian original series on Prime Video, which is a hit for the service. The series follows Sofi, a strong, ambitious, female fashion entrepreneur who balances her business and personal life on her own terms.
Abid Hussain, founder and CEO of Creative Stew and his team are now developing the outfit’s slate, which includes two feature films and several series.

Singapore-based Clover Films has lined up the release of comedy-drama La Luna in Asia, which is set to world premiere in Tokyo International Film Festival’s Asian Future competition.
Directed by Singapore’s M Raihan Halim, the Malay-language feature will open on November 9 in Malaysia through Skop Productions on a wide release of at least 70 cinemas, which will be followed by Singapore on November 16 through Golden Village Pictures.

‘Malbatt: Misi Bakara’ will receive a release comparable with Hollywood blockbusters.
Malaysian action drama Malbatt: Misi Bakara, offering an alternative perspective on the incident that inspired Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down, is set for a local theatrical release on a level normally reserved for Hollywood blockbusters.
Distributed by Gsc Movies, the film will open in more than 150 cinemas across Malaysia on August 24, a week ahead of Malaysia’s Independence Day on August 31. It represents a significant release for a local feature in the country, which usually favours major US titles. It will also receive a day-and-date release in Singapore through Clover Films.
