Now that Nielsen is providing competitive multi-platform primetime data to its subscribers via its Streaming Content Ratings, the broadcast networks are getting a much clearer view of how their shows’ viewership across live, time-shifted, on-demand and streaming viewing is shaping up vs. their rivals. So far, the big streaming winner appears to be freshman ABC series “High Potential,” which ranks as the No. 12 show of the fall among adults 18-49 according to Nielsen live+7 ratings — but then shoots to No. 1 when seven days of streaming viewership is included.
With six episodes having aired as of Nov. 21 (when these ratings were calculated), “High Potential” was averaging a 0.57 rating in the 18-49 demo according to live+7 data. But streaming on Hulu (including Hulu on Disney+) added an additional 1.76 rating to that tally — bumping the Kaitlin Olson series up by 309% to a 2.33 rating in the demo. That’s the kind of 18-49 number...

Spoilers ahead for the first episode of "Star Wars: Skeleton Crew."
"Star Wars" is known for a lot of things. Lightsabers. Swashbuckling action. Tyrannical villains. Daring escapes. True love. Soul-searing music. Special effects extravaganzas. Incredible filmmaking. Within certain parameters, you know exactly what you're getting into with a live action "Star Wars" project.
Sure, that pendulum can swing pretty hard. On one side, you can get pretty gritty and realistic stories — "Andor," for instance — and on the other side you can get much more innocent, swashbuckling, kid-oriented adventures like "Skeleton Crew." But one thing that unites all of the "Star Wars" projects is the inspiration from other films that filmmakers pour into their work. Sometimes, those films can be from their own interests, like Rian Johnson bringing his love of "Brazil" into his masterpiece "The Last Jedi," and other times it can be filmmakers bringing George Lucas's foundational reliance...

Break out the Post-It Notes because Romy and Michele may be headed towards another reunion. While a sequel to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion may not have been officially greenlit, star Mira Sorvino (that’s Romy) has hopes that it’s the closest it’s ever been to being ready to go.
Speaking with People, Sorvio said that the Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion sequel isn’t entirely ready but just needs a few more tweaks before cameras are ready to roll. “They’ve done his deal, they’ve done Lisa [Kudrow] and my deals as executive producers. [Original screenwriter Robin Schiff] has written multiple drafts of an amazing funny script, which checks all the boxes for all the fans.” As for a time frame, Sorvino noted, “And they’re just going back and forth, tweaking things here and there, and [there are] rumors of shooting it second quarter next year…...

Kriti Sanon Box Office Report Card 2024 (Photo Credit – YouTube)
2024 has been a blessing so for Kriti Sanon, as nothing went wrong for her. Apart from the critical acclaim, the actress also tasted commercial success. Both the films she had been a part of this year were expected to be passable affairs, but the audience showered love and made them money spinners at the Indian box office. Keep reading to know how the actress fared commercially this year!
Disastrous 2023!
Last year, Kriti saw a disastrous time as none of her films managed to be successful. Starting from Shehzada’s poor run, she delivered two more disasters with Adipurush and Ganapath. All these three films were big setbacks for her, but thankfully, things have changed totally this year as the actress hasn’t delivered a single failure.

With the popular Star Wars book series The High Republic coming to an end in the spring of 2025, fans are hungrier than ever for more stories. So it's a good thing Audible has released yet another original story -- this time set in the time of the golden age of the Jedi.
Star Wars The High Republic: Seeds of Starlight by George Mann and Lucasfilm Press, narrated by Todd Haberkorn, is set during The High Republic and takes place after the fall of Starlight Beacon on the familiar planet of Eiram. People have started mysteriously going missing, and it's up to the Jedi to figure out what's happening to them.
Of course, in true High Republic fashion, things are about to get a whole lot worse. Beneath the ocean where what remains of Starlight Beacon lies, something is about to emerge -- something that is totally not going to put...

Only seven episodes into the first season of High Potential, Kaitlin Olson’s crime drama is already ABC’s most-watched new series in six years — so where were these hordes of fans when The Mick needed saving?
On High Potential, Olson plays Morgan, a self-confident single mother of three who works as a cleaning lady for the LAPD. However, and unlike a certain janitor from another Olson project, Morgan is not-so-secretly a “high potential” intellectual with an Iq of 160. In the first episode, which a staggering 20 million viewers have watched since its premiere this past September 17th, Morgan successfully Good-Will-Huntings herself into a consultant position at the police department by cracking open a murder case during her graveyard shift.
And just like that, Olson isn’t just the biggest wise-ass at the LAPD – she’s one of the biggest stars in all of television. Nearly two decades after Olson made...

Morgan and Karadec just took their relationship to the next level on the fall finale of ABC’s High Potential. And by that, we mean they’re now… deskmates! Why, what did you think we meant?
Tuesday’s episode put the entire precinct through the wringer when a group of armed vigilantes made hostages out of several key staffers — along with Ava, who was visiting her mother at work for the day. A far cry from the show’s usual lighthearted tone, this harrowing hour pushed Morgan beyond her mental and emotional limits to solve one of the departments’ mishandled cases.

If you're a fan of the long-running series "How I Met Your Mother," you know that pop star Britney Spears memorably pops up in the third season of the beloved CBS sitcom ... so how did that happen, and how did Spears' guest role basically save the show?
During a Reddit Ama (ask me anything) in 2013, Carter Bays, who created "How I Met Your Mother" alongside Craig Thomas, was asked if any of the show's guest stars had ever specifically asked to join the series. Apparently, Spears did just that. "We got a call a few weeks after the writers' strike [in 2007] ended saying that Britney Spears wanted to be on our show," Bays responded. "And she specifically wanted to be in the episode 'Ten Sessions,' which sent a chill down our spines, because that's the one where we meet Stella [Zinman, a love interest for Josh Radnor's Ted Mosby]."

One of the key initiatives of the American French Film Festival is its long-running education program, which provides 3,000 high school students each year with the opportunity to attend a screening and discussion with filmmakers at the DGA Theatre. For the festival, it’s a rare opportunity to help actively develop younger audiences and expose them to French cinema.
“At a time when everyone is on their phones and in-person interactions are declining, the American French Film Festival Education Program inspires students to truly engage,” says Anouchka van Riel, Deputy Director of Tafff. “Through our screenings and Q&As with French actors and filmmakers at the DGA Theatre, as well as in-class materials we develop with educators, this effective annual program continues to encourage thoughtful discussion and nurture a new generation of French film enthusiasts.”

Thanks to Parker Finn’s directorial magic, even the simplest grin has become a source of nightmares. In 2022, Smile hit theaters, turning friendly smiles into haunting omens of doom. The film’s chilling premise—where victims succumb to an eerie curse before taking their own lives—left audiences wanting more. Fast forward to 2024, and we now have Smile 2, which premiered on October 18, delivering another round of smile-fueled terror. Naturally, fans are curious: is there a post-credits scene, or is the story truly over?

In director and writer Marco Calvani’s “High Tide,” well-known Brazilian actor Marco Pigossi stars as Lourenco, an immigrant living in Provincetown, the iconic gay getaway in Massachusetts. Suddenly single with his visa about to expire, he meets and falls for Maurice (James Bland), a Black doctor from New York City who is on vacation before heading to Angola for a residency.
Turns out there was as much romance going on off-screen as there was on. Calvani and Pigossi fell in love after initially meeting to talk about possibly working together one day.
“I tell everyone there’s a love story behind the love story.” Pigossi tells me. “We were falling in love as he was finishing the script. He was always asking me things like, ‘What’s your favorite poem in Brazil? What would be like a very conservative city in the countryside?’ I didn’t know what he was writing.

We have a lot to look forward to on the next episode of High Potential. Fun, exotic animals are coming our way, and what will surely be another big brother speech from Karadec.
Considering the next episode will have plenty of fun animals, we’ll get the full breadth and width of Morgan’s zoology knowledge. Teach us something new, Miss Morgan.
Viewers all around agree that High Potential boasts as much heart as it does brain. So, while we’re sure to learn something new, there’s a good chance crying will be involved.
(Raymond Liu, Carlos Lopez-Calleja/Disney)
The undeniable chemistry between Karadec and Morgan is one of the series’ shining highlights. However, like many of you, I have no interest in seeing those two get intimate.

The state of film and TV production in Los Angeles is getting dire.
New numbers released by FilmLA show that production shoot days this past summer were the second-worst summer on record. They were even worse than last year, when the writers and actors strikes largely shut down all scripted production.
Although the prior quarter faced uncertainty over whether IATSE or Teamsters would strike, things got worse in Q3. FilmLA reported that in Q3 2024, production days slipped by 5 percent quarter over quarter to 5,048 shoot days. It was also the weakest so far in 2024 and 36.4 percent below the five-year average.
The primary culprit is unscripted/reality TV production leaving LA County. Total shoot days for that sub-category were down 56.3 percent (up slightly from an equally bad quarter in Q2 of this year), even as TV dramas and comedy, commercials, pilots, and feature film production all bounced back nicely.

Production in the Greater Los Angeles area fell 5% during the third quarter of 2024 to 5,048 total shoot days — the weakest quarter of the year thus far and a 36.4% decrease from its five-year average, according to a FilmLA update released Wednesday.
“Only a few months ago, the industry hoped we’d see an overall on-paper gain in the third quarter, due to the strike effect,” FilmLA president Paul Audley said in a statement. “Instead, we saw a pullback and loss of forward momentum heading into the fall season that will make or break the year.”

A shoot day is defined as one crew’s permission to film at one or more defined locations during any 24-hour period. The five-year statistics exclude 2020, when Hollywood production was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

When The Vampire Diaries debuted in 2009, it quickly gained a massive following, propelling its lead actors into the spotlight. Paul Wesley, who played the brooding and compassionate vampire Stefan Salvatore, and Ian Somerholder’s Damon Salvatore, became fan favorites. However, the actors had to put themselves through a lot to be on screen.

With the series focusing on blood-sucking vampires, the creators had to find creative ways to portray the gory scenes and more. In fact, with Wesley’s character drinking bourbon in various scenes on the show, they had to come up with something that looked like alcohol but was actually just iced tea.

Being a celebrity out in the open is never an easy task, but what is worse is when innocent interactions get taken out of context and portrayed negatively on social media. This is exactly the issue that Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman are currently dealing with.

Audiences will see Morgan and the team deep in the danger and chaos of another case in High Potential Season 1 Episode 4! And I thought the knife-wielding bartender from the previous episode was a slippery situation.
The series certainly isn’t letting off the gas anytime soon. The training wheels are coming off, and it’s time for Morgan to sink or swim.
Since High Potential is a series that boasts as much heart as it does brain power, there’s a good chance there will be quite a few tear-worthy moments.

Audiences are likely to experience every emotion under the sun from watching a single episode of High Potential.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ was released over a year ago, and the move marked several significant events in the MCU. Despite other projects more or less flopping, the third installment of the franchise was a success both when it comes to critics and in terms of box office.
As far as significant changes go, if you’ve watched the movie you know that the team effectively disbanded with all core members going their own way. Star-Lord returned to Earth to spend some time reuniting with his human side. Gamora joined the Ravagers, Mantis decided to pursue her own wishes and goals. Nebula and Drax remained on Knowhere to take care of the children that were rescued from High Evolutionary’s ship.

The action doll is $30 (+ shipping added later.) Early birds can get the doll for $25 (plus shipping.)

James Blunt is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his breakout album Back to Bedlam with an October 11th re-release, and it comes with a promise: If fans can take the record to the top of the UK album charts, Blunt will change his name to “whatever the public want.”
“I have signed up to changing my name to whatever the public want – they can change my name,” Blunt told Radio X’s Chris Moyles in a recent interview. “It’s a genuine thing. I swear on my life and the life of my one fan – Brian from Glasgow – I will change my name should it hit number one.”
He clarified that he is, in fact, not kidding about this. “I swear on Brian’s life and my life. To whatever the public want – and of course the public are going to kind, they’re not going to go for anything...

Music star Keith Urban is regarded as one of the best country artists of all time. From earning several Grammy wins to collaborating with major artists, music is truly his calling. Which makes the subject in school that he failed that much more surprising.
Did Keith Urban Fail Music Class?
Keith recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show as both a guest and a performer. During his segment, Kelly asked him if he remembered a music teacher that made an impact on him.
Urban responded by shouting out his tenth grade music teacher Mrs. Grimmer. He shared that he struggled with learning music theory, and that the theory was a requirement to pass the class.

Mrs. Grimmer attempted to bypass this rule by creating a play for the students to perform in instead. However, the performance didn’t count and Keith failed music class that year.
