Amsterdam real estate agency owner Bob Rademaker puts his own fine city home on the market, planning to move to Spain. While it's inspected, his corps is found walled in the basement, fatally shot. To Bob's daughters (also agents) Noor and Puck's surprise, he recently got a threatening phone call. Best agent Joep Verboom tries to keep the firm running and calm down Noor, his fiancée, who thinks she's pregnant. Most promising trainee agent Bram Bakker is impressed by applicant Mouna, enough to suggest hiring her. Puck is last to know because she spent the afternoon with versatile businessman Michael van Cleef, who snapped up the bid for client Ignaz her arrogance lost at the last moment, offered her a deal and took her along spending the winnings in a single date. Both Michael, who roughed up Ignaz, and Mouna have hidden agendas.

While the family concentrates on Bob Rademaker's funeral and inheritance, his death is investigated by the police, who has strong suspicions but just not conclusive forensic evidence against the widow, whose alibi holds. The sale of the house, for once not just about the money, starts a new rivalry against the sister-heirs, who must collaborate or all falls to the widow, while Michael van Cleef plays more games with Puck. Bram seizes the void to launch himself in 'taxation' (property estimation) but gets seduced by client Michelle and is threatened by her hostile ex Ron Zweers, who knows all about her siren tactics. Mouna starts working, impresses but secretly snoops around.

the mourning Rademaker family remains mainly preoccupied with the inheritance, bickering over the patriarchal Amsterdam mansion. Helping Noor mind baby Otger decides Joep's mind he never wants offspring. Bram is even more put-off by a mean widow, who wants the firm's help to evict her daughter even after finding out she has a baby.

Joep is overburdened because the bickering sisters shove off work. So suited-up Bram gets a chance to handle a sale alone. He's seduced in the street by an older woman who just wants sex with the handsome hunk, so he invites her as 'potental buyer' to a supposedly empty home where they find Sm-toys. Alas, the owner arrives unannounced and lacks any sense of humor. Meanwhile Michael van Cleef not only boasts about a trick to snap up houses cheap from elderly people ready for retirement homes but also mentions mark Eduard Brouwers to Puck. She pretends her grandpa lied their, gains the old coot's sympathy and gets it even cheaper, for herself. She left a business-card, which Michael finds and uses to file a formal fraud complaint.

Bram sweetly tries to make up for his 'exposed error' with treats, but is rudely ignored. The sisters are preoccupied with saving fraud Puck's realtor license. Mouna shamelessly abused Bram's goodwill and when given a chance to enter the field sabotages a good deal on absurd moral grounds to Joep's horror.

Bram has a delicate sales job, mediating arch-conservative widow Berkelbach van den Brink, who must sell despite being obsessed with her astronomer husband's memory, whom she even 'talks to', and the prospective buyer, influential businessman Sjon Veldman, whose even commoner wife Wendy wants to 'modernize' the grand old home. Joep got a puppy, sort of a test if Noor's parenting wish is inconvenience-proof, and helps Puck study for her estate agent's exam, which she left till the last week.

Bram has been elected treasurer of the young real estate agents society and eagerly networks. Thus he meets notary Wendelien van Praag, who stops his flirting at the door. Mouna can't be bothered to ride o his coattails there too, absorbed by her pa's death years ago. Joep boasts he finally has a super-rich client, Andre Dubrie, whose ambitions require an oriental prince's Amsetrdam residence for sale, brokered by the reputable John Kempenaar, but Joep forgot to do his homework.

Business is slow, so Bram is happy that notary Wendelien van Praag passes him a forced sale, but is scared to learn that the owner, van de Wal, has a criminal record, pet snake and a noisy secret in the bedroom. Noor refuses to sell Bart Leijendekker's flat and only divulges their personal agenda after Joep decided to take the deal, actually dishing up a lie. Puck accepts a major sale for Michael van Cleef's firm Vabas, but mistrusts him.

Wendelien gets Bram the sale of a house he wants for himself. Learning this, she reassigns it, so he must bid for it, and she wants a spa rather the a reward in bed. Queer fashion chain manager Erwin enlists Joep Verboom to negotiate the Hein family's shop building, but the widow wants no change. Michael van Cleef wants to proclaim his love for Puck, she prefers more discretion. His presence triggers dark memories with Mounia, who tells only Bram that she suspects him of involvement in her father Aziz's death, and the fact that it was murder. Joep fears his wife's presumably unstoppable child-wish.

After Bram celebrates becoming the proud owner of his own 'castle', the roof is found to be leaking. Having broken up with adulterous Noor, Joep decides to move out from friends where he's overstaying his welcome as soon as he can find a flat. Yet she dares bitch at him, even at the puppy's expense. Professionally her ill-considered 'help' causes two clients to sign up for the same home.

Bram is back in Wendelien's bed. After his break-up with Noor, Jeroen accepts a job in Victor's conventional firm, but soon feels it's dead-end drudge and misses Bram. After Michael approaches Puck to financing a Mexican real-estate project he claims her dad was involved in, she tells the police Mouna's unproven murder-theory, which is discarded for utter lack of proof. His story is even scarier.
