Ouspenskaya achieved her long-time goal of appearing in a Western when she was cast in Wyoming (1947).
She was usually referred to as "Madame" or "Madame Ouspenskaya" (in Russia of the pre-revolutionary era, French was the language
of culture and the educated classes).
In 1941 she told an interviewer that she wanted to do a musical--"I'm good at ballroom dancing" (this goal was never realized).
