To this day I am still shocked how many sequels that come out. I suppose this movie is typical of the usual junk that is found from these movie titles. I'm not sure if it is because I'm a Brit , but not one thing was remotely funny in this film.
There are some fairly big names that appear in the film , they get to do a few lines mentioning films they have been in real life. I believe the studio thinks this is funny , but it beyond scraping the bottom of an already badly scratch barrel.
My advice is avoid this movie , because anything would be better than this junk.

To begin with, it kind of annoys me when people post instant one star reviews because they disliked a movie. There are probably no movies out there that are one star or "zero stars" as a lot of the reviews here say. Just because someone disliked something doesn't mean it is "The Worst Movie Ever", another phrase that gets tossed around more than the Comic Book Guy in the Simpson's says it.
All that being said, yes, this is a pretty bad movie. It has an excellent concept and had some decent acting from a few of the cast members however it is obvious that the writing was not competent enough to keep up with the idea.
Not Another Not Another Movie almost feels like an attempt to recreate the beauty of "Spinal Tap" like many other failed movies before. Instead of a documentary type spoof on the music industry, it is a spoof on how difficult it is to make a good movie. That is basically the entire meta-joke that the movie tries to evoke, however, it just doesn't deliver. There are some well written scenes, such as the meeting with Vinnie Jones, and also (as Jones) some high profile a-listers that provide cameos or bit parts.
The main problem is that most of the movie's jokes are basically stolen from other comedians / movies / TV shows. It attempts to be a parody but really comes off as more of a collection of plagiarizing bits taken from far better material. There's a big difference between parody / spoof and simply stealing jokes and attempting to make it your own. It really becomes annoying when 85% of the movie is "Hey, that joke was taken from (insert someone else / another movie) rather than spoofing or parodying it.
Overall, the movie is basically funny at times, and is good for just wasting about 90 minutes of your life. However, as good as the concept is and the potential just does not work due to shoddy writing, blatant plagiarizing, and just poor acting with a few exceptions. It really serves best as background noise while you're doing something else rather than really paying attention to it. It actually is a shame because the idea behind it was really solid; a mockumentary about trying to film a mockumentary spoof movie is a great idea. The movie just doesn't deliver.
So Worst movie ever? of course not, that's the most overused phrase in the world. a 1 star or a 10 star? not even close. Is it worth watching? Only if you're really bored and there's nothing else on because there are a few good laughs (although again like I said, most of the best laughs come from other people's material). So well, overall verdict is a 3.5 out of 10. The score is really based on the concept of the film, not on the film itself. And a point and a half for some scenes that are pretty funny.
Bottom line : Watch with no expectations and don't prepare for anything more than a 3/10 movie. Again, it is a great concept that just doesn't deliver. If you're bored and want to waste 90 minutes on mindless recycled / stolen jokes (and a couple of clever/funny scenes) then that's about all you can expect from Not another Not Another Movie.

... but I couldn't watch all of this.
I pray that you are reading this before considering watching this film.
I would hate for you to have wasted your money at the DVD store, or your download limit in order to watch it.
As I said, I will watch almost anything, no matter how bad it is. But I could only make it to the 50 minute mark of this film, about the same time I made it through Twilight actually.
There is nothing wrong with improvisational comedy, in fact I normally find it hilarious - but the fact is that the improvisation in this film is not funny and can in no way be considered comedy.

Well, I started watching this with some hope of enjoyment and it only took 5 minutes and I new that this was going to be bad, I never thought any film could be this bad! I don't know what was worse the fact that some of my favorite old time actors lowered them selves to this drivel or that there is someone stupid enough to put up the money to have this made. As a fan of spoof movies I was hoping for something a bit out of the ordinary and I watched to the end, why? I should have stopped at the 5 minute mark and watched grass grow or paint dry as that would have been 100 time more entertaining. I am sure that you guess I didn't like it but this film needs a 0 out of 1o. Avoid it like the plague! Don't believe me watch it for yourself, why should I be the only one to suffer!!!!!

Absolute stupidity at it's best, or would that be worst? I have no idea how this movie even made it past the pitch. Within the first 5 minutes you realize that this movie is bad, and it only gets worse from there. They reel you in with names like Burt Reynolds, Chevy Chase, Michael Madsen, and Vinnie Jones, but they don't deliver anything worth watching. You don't have to take my word for it, watch it yourself and you'll quickly see how bad it is.
Also, I watched it because I thought this was part of the same "Not Another" series. Don't be fooled, it's not on par at all. It's not from the same studio either. In fact I don't think there's any kind of affiliation with the previous movies other than the name. This film give the rest of the "Not Another" series a bad name.

Never in the history of movie making did anyone make anything so awful and so worthless, a collection of not entertaining rubbish with no plot or links or anything funny, all copies should be collected and destroyed and history should be purged of all mention of this pointless waste of time. How does anyone think this poor quality is worth the effort and money, How do actors bother, unless they are over the hill and wouldn't get any other offers, Life is too short to have this rubbish floating about. I am lost for words to make this 10 lines long. Nothing could have made this token effort to attract a few cinema goers, they must have lost money and the main actors took the money and ran laughing to the nearest bar.

First things first - despite the title, this *isn't* a spoof movie in the realm of Friedberg/Seltzer, etcetera. It's actually a quite funny mockumentary about a struggling movie company who turns to spoof movies when all of their other ideas haven't worked... which, to be honest, is a pretty accurate depiction of Hollywood today.
Even then, the spoof movie plot is relatively subdued, taking a backseat to the hilarious antics and romantic failures of Randy, a movie crew nobody who manages to rise higher and higher through the ranks as the company falls to pieces, eventually becoming a director totally devoid of experience or basic intelligence. This is absolutely a 'love him or hate him' sort of character, but he never fails to deliver the laughs.
While the film isn't quite as celebrity packed as the artwork would have you believe - Burt Reynolds appears in exactly one scene - Chevy Chase and especially Michael Madsen put in memorable roles, Madsen being perfectly cast as a murderous convict who temporarily heads the studio. Another surprising highlight in the cast was Ellie Gerber, likely cast due to her uncanny resemblance to Scary Movie's Anna Faris, but nonetheless charming and likable.
Overall, it's a shame this film didn't gain more exposure, with much of the intended audience wrongly assuming it was going to be another in the long line of terrible spoof movies. Give it a chance, and go into it without any preconceived notions - I expected the worst and came out very pleasantly surprised.

When you switch on "Not Another, Not Another Movie", you will mistake it as being one of those films that has been made on a Low Budget - Don't. Because "Not Another, Not Another Movie" is one of the "Pulp Comedy Parody's" that has surpassed the normal and somewhat climactic forms of Funny used in other such films as "Scary Movie" and "Going Postal" in reference to the present.
It has its dull moments, obviously- as in many movies today - while in a heartbeat it brings in the clowns...cue Michael Madsen, Chevy Chase and Vinnie Jones.
Filled with numerous twists and turns that keep hold of the ball there are some points of the movie where the Americanized humour cuts through the dialogue like sandpaper through jelly, while the almost Pulp Comedy improvisation that makes the creation of this "Spoof Parody" hits the high notes in some of those most unlikeliest of places.
While the person stood next to you in the queue at the local Supermarket stares down at the BluRay or DVD box cover wondering whether to ask you if the movie you are holding is any good, you can certainly tell them from those who have seen it that the answer to these three most important questions are:
Is this film funny? This film is very funny.
Has this film got what it takes? Most definitely.
Should this film be rented out? Absolutely.

I must admit that I had expected a bit more from the 2011 movie "Not Another Not Another Movie". At least they could have made it into a spoof movie, as one would assume that this movie was going to be. But the spoofing in "Not Another Not Another Movie" is almost non-existing.
Now, of course I was lured into watching "Not Another Not Another Movie" given the fact that it had the likes of Chevy Chase and Burt Reynolds on the cast list. Sure, they are in the movie, but only in minor support roles. And the same goes for Vinnie Jones and Michael Madsen, whom are also headlined on the movie's cover.
The storyline in "Not Another Not Another Movie" was straight forward and easy to follow, sure. But it was just lacking comedy elements and I don't think I laughed even once throughout the course of this movie. And if you sit down to watch "Not Another Not Another Movie" with the hopes of it being a spoof movie, like I did, then you will be sorely disappointed.
The acting in the movie was actually good enough. And it should be said that there is an abundance of famous people that actually show up for small support roles or cameos, with the likes of aforementioned Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Vinnie Jones and Michael Madsen. But the movie also have appearances by Sean Lawlor, Richard Tyson, Wolfgang Bodison, James Duval, Louis Mandylor and John Melendez. So there are actually a bunch of familiar names and faces on the cast list and in the movie. Just a shame that it is all in minor and insignificant roles. And I am sort of wondering why these people even showed up in a movie such as "Not Another Not Another Movie" at all.
Greg Romero Wilson
"Not Another Not Another Movie" fell short of being funny and fell short of delivering what I had expected. This wasn't really a spoof movie in the likes of "Hot Shots", "Scary Movie", etc.
My rating of the 2011 comedy "Not Another Not Another Movie" from writers David Leo Schultz, David Murphy, James Piper and Greg Romero Wilson lands on a mere two out of ten stars. There are far better comedies out there.

I can't believe anyone would have a positive thing to say about this movie. (aside from the paycheck they got) The acting was completely awful, There was not a single point where I even chuckled. I saw the point of it, and the idea was there but if you are going to make fun of parody movies at least make it funny. Big disappointment. OK I have to keep typing, simple plot, start making spoof movies to supposedly make fun of spoof movies. Nobody seems to like the idea but they continue doing it for no apparent reason. The cameos, even though they are booked as the main actors are completely pointless and by the time you get to the end, if you are that brave, you will just be mad at yourself

Very funny movie. Not what I expected. The writing is so funny and appealing to both a male and female sense of humor. I thought Vinny Jones stole the show. He's always in serious roles, but he played this comedic role to perfection.
Chevy Chase was classic "Chevy." Chevy has honed his comic timing via a run of "SNL" and movie roles and is still one of the funniest actors around. His delivery has gotten so good that he's become one of those guys that's funny standing still, before he utters word one. You're laughing before you even know the premise.
The minor characters are all very good and amusing, I think they should develop this into a TV show.
The guy playing Randy is hilarious. I would love to see him in more comedies in the future.
I also think it's great that they made a clean movie you can watch with the family. There's very little profanity and no nudity. I'ts just good clean comedy
