Actress, Illeana Douglas, playing herself, is trying to get out of "Hollywood" by working in Burbank IKEA as a sort of entertainer to raise morale and co-worker team spirit. The Episodes are short - mostly under ten minutes, some only three or four, and have an impressive cast list, keep your eyes peeled for various actors either playing themselves or acting. Jeff Goldblum was a favourite. It's laugh out loud funny in places, but very very odd and quirky, with a lot of abstract situational laughs and set up (variously good and bad) Swedish impressions. Set in a real IKEA situation, not an ersatz-IKEA, notice that pretty much everything is yellow and blue. I can't believe how weird this is and how someone came to think of it but the story arch is quite engaging and there is a story to follow. Michael Irpino, playing Lance Krapp, the camp over-enthusiastic IKEAn is fun, and I really like him. Justine Bateman, again playing herself, is the main competition to Illeana's plans, and the cute, funny, love-interest, musical-guy is Robert Mailhouse (also in the band Sparhusen, with Illeana Douglas). Enjoyable. Weird. Lots of spin-off episodes/extras regarding Sparhusen, and they've even done albums of music! Very funny.
