In March 2006, the crew of the Navegar Amazônia Project (Sail Amazon Project) left the Canal of Jandiá, in Macapá, towards Belém. Aboard a traditional boat of the region equipped with a modern multimedia lab, were the crew and 30 people. Among the guests, the musicians Jorge Mautner, Nelson Jacobina and Zé Miguel (from Macapá) and the filmmakers Evaldo Mocarzel and Jorge Bodanzky. The mission: to offer, along the journey through the cities of Belém, Abaetetuba and Tauerá-açu, music, film, photography, video and art workshops to the visited riverine communities.
