If you like the C Bomb being dropped Evey 5 minutes & a lot of violence, then this might be your cup of tea, but it's not mine.
It's a bit like a torture porn film, like the Saw Series. Just ramping up the 'thrills' at the expense of story. Again, something else I didnt enjoy.

I guess this film was sponsored by "terrace cult"
All jokes aside it's a poor film, shocking acting with no plot at all,the director must think that all you need in movies is loud music, violence and obscene amounts of drug taking.

Massive fan of the original ROTFS movie and the whole story around it, so was really excited to see this on the big screen.
I didn't have high expectations because I haven't been impressed with some of the follow up movies, but I must say it did pack a punch and left me wanting to go see it again because that much happens in it you feel like you have maybe missed something.
The acting was solid from the whole cast and Vinnie Jones played a great part, nothing like the real character BOM but never the less he played a good part and his performance was very good.
I would have liked to have seen some deeper dimensions to Tony's personality and story and I don't think the last few movies have been very fare on his memory playing him as a down and out and joker.
From what I know, Tony was a successful business man and had good sides to his character he had more to him than these movies portray from the years of research I have done but hopefully this will come out some more next time and it's only my personal thoughts.
I would like to see this in the next one where he goes through the journey of friendship with Carlton.
Overall though - good soundtrack, funny scenes, good acting and a good solid story line that keeps you interested from opening to closing.
I would highly recommend that people who have watched the original go see this.
I will definitely be revisiting this one.

Pleasantly surprised with this film, although unlikely to win many awards it was a good watch and had everything you would expect from a ROTFS movie.
The best part of the film though is the soundtrack, which is superb.

Mug. F word. C word. Punch. Sniff. Tear up. Snort. Who's this mug? Blade. Lines. Pills. Bird. I can't do this no more! F word. Fight. Machete. C word. Drive, will ya?! Double cross. F word. C word. Shut up. Fight. Mug. You what?! F word. C word.
And repeat. And repeat. And repeat.

I am a big believer in the idea that films should be judged in their genre here. For this film's genre -- hyper violent British organed crime drama -- this film is quite good.

WOW! Just finished ROTF origins and I am really satisfied! After seeing parts 2 and 3 I basically lost hope of any other good installments besides the first but after part 4 came out it started to renew my interest and the tucker origin story now just did it for me! Definitely as good almost as the original.

I don't even know where to start, confused storyline, unbelievably poor acting, clothing not matching the era, dreadful dialogue, Police interviewing two villains. In the same interview, it's just awful. The only 3 good things, were the two comedy wigs and the Ford Cosworth, other than that there are no saving graces.

Look, we all know it's pantomime cinema & we all know these actors are tool old to play these parts. But I love this franchise & I certainly don't want any other cast. This one is not quite as stylish as the last 2 but is closer in themes to the first than the others. It's come full circle & probably is the end. So, enjoy it for one last time.

The previous films in the series have focused mainly on Pat Tate but this mixes it up a bit with Tony and Craig and Bernard being the main characters.
It's entertaining and genuinely funny in places, some great scenes and dialogue, also good to see some old familiar faces.
If you like similar films I recommend this was because it's above average and I think another one in the future would be good.

About as good as the second one I'd say. Not as funny as the third nor as gritty as the first. Still, it's good to see how things came together, at least in a "based on" cinematic sense.
A prequel, released 15 years after the original. However it has the same people, playing the same characters and that sets out how confusing it is to understand the timeframe and from there it just gets worse as the story unfolds changing storylines from other films in the series.
Eastenders meets the big screen with just about every old cast member being in this film plus Vinny Jones. Vinny Jones plays ... Vinny Jones. But fits well in this film. Bare it in mind I've seen none of its predecessors this is a good stand alone film if you're not familiar with the franchise. I went home and watched the rest of them. In comparison to the first one this is much more light hearted. The first one was absolutely brilliant and the ending was dramatic. Anyway I actually hope they do another one of these. Yeah your cast is aging. Bunch of guys in their late fifties shouting 'cahm on you fahking cants..' is kind of humourous in its own right.

Never really knew what to expect before watching this going off the last 3 but this one generally surprised me how good it was. Although I'm not a fan of BOM, Vinnie played him brilliantly.
This isn't a spoiler but make sure you don't leave as soon as if finishes, hang around a couple minutes to watch the subtitles...

It's silly, it's violent, it's full of swearing, it's good fun!
Craig did good as usual, nothing wrong with Vinnie's performance. Seeing Vinnie Jones and Craig Fairbrass square off is a buzz.
Look, it is silly but done well for what it is.

Load of old blokes pretending to be young blokes with a story that's all over the place with false facts and fantasies of the writers.
Terry stone reminds me of harry enfield in Kevin and Perry go large, at this stage.
About 50 build up stories that amount to nothing.
Bernie was a fantasist and basic doorman not a hard gangster, his stomach was huge, still is. He didn't go in the Range Rover as the real lads all hated him, and his stomach wouldn't even fit.
Leave the krays out of it.

No spoilers. Just a general constructive critique of the film.
Negatives
1. The directors could have done their homework regarding the music of the late 80s.. Kariya "Let Me Love You For Tonight" was/is NOT Acid music.
2. Ending was abrupt & seemed rush. Always try to end your movie with a score.
Positives:
1. Vinnie Jones was a joy to watch.
2. The era was quite accurately portrayed for anyone in need of a history lesson on the club scene of the late 80s/ early 90s.
3. Authentic British accents as opposed to the fake & forced Queens English that Hollywood seems to think we all use here in England.
4. Professional steady-cam filming, which is also a rarity these days.
5. Good performances from Terry Stone, Vinnie Jones & Craig Fairbrass.
6. Succeeded in entertainment. Amazing how some directors these days forget this essential ingredient and choose to bore us to death.
So a point for each of those positives results in an overall 6/10 mark which I believe is quite fair. Anything below 5/10 is simply harsh.
It is by no means a Carlito's Way or a Scarface but unlike most movies today it is watchable if you can tolerate the excessive swearing & realistic (in that part of England) use of the word "cxnt".

Four thuggish small time Essex drug dealers are murdered whilst sitting in their car.
This low level gang crime spawns the longest running series of movies in the gangster genre history. They were in their 30s. The actors playing them are now in their 50s. 'Actors' needs a broad interpretation in their case. This latest roll of the dice is a parody. The first film had a certain visceral attractiveness. This has none. It makes an episode of Eastenders seem like a blockbuster.

I went to see this film based on a recommendation from a friend. I have seen a previous iteration of this franchise and wasn't that impressed, but went anyway. What i was presented with was a very well constructed, funny... and very violent film. Which i have to say, is right up my street. ... on a side note, don't go and see it if you are sensitive to a C bomb or 20.

Im gonna keep it short and sweet, this is definitely the best ROTF since the 1st one, i did like part 2, 3, and 4 but the 1st ROTF and this one had the same gritty feel to them, don't get me wrong the acting could have been better but it's been like that throughout the franchise, and i loved how it all tied in with the 1st movie you could literally watch this movie then watch the 1st movie as a sequel.
A very solid and deserved 7 from me.
Plz keep em coming.

I tried to get past the gratuitous and unnecessary swearing (and I'm no prude!) and find a plot and didn't find one. I can see teenagers thinking it's a cool movie but it's just not. Must admit, I'm surprised that Vinnie Jones and Craig Fairbrass even agreed to be in it. It could have been good but misses the mark on every level.
Utter rubbish and a couple of hours of my life wasted. Also paints a terrible picture of Essex!
Just don't bother.

Awesome addition to the franchise and the soundtrack is sweet as a nut.
If you're a film junkie like myself then you'll appreciate the time and effort that Nick Nevern and everyone else put in to make this happen.
I enjoyed it. Not my place to say where it could have been improved. It is what it is.
Thank you.
