A very simply political spy story that didn't bore.

It is fast paced and It Is a bit old school but was developed with usual crime and espionage elements. Every actor did a good job here. The picture is not the finest and the soundtrack music not the best but at least the filming locations in Paris were nice to see. The running time was perfect.

If you like intriguing thrillers this one could work for you but as I mentioned don't expect too much. It's just okay if you have really nothing other to watch. Rating together with my wife 6/10.

This is a real thriller as one would expect it to be The actors are quite extraordinary especially Thierry Fremont It's a must watch if you like the genre.

Politic, hostages, corruption, prostitution and blackmails, murders, a correct thriller and Andre Dussollier giving his best. The basic virtues - the imppeccable story and the acting. Nothing new but all given in admirable manner.

No pun intended - obviously state affairs in this case is quite the ... well big thing. Big political thing - trying to make money, trying to cover things up. And a woman thrown in - working for the police. It may be just too big for her (hopefully you do not consider this a pun - although ... nah, no pun intended here either and get your mind out of there). Some cases are just complicated - even more so, if you do not know who you are dealing with.

And also when some people who should be on your side ... just aren't. A lot of suspense, a lot of action (with some explicit images that some may find disturbing) and quite the quick pace. I did not expect the latter, but just rolled with it. Well played (if you have seen french movies before, you probably recognize some of the actors too) and really tight when it comes to the story ... depending on what you make of the outcome, you may like this more or less ... I think it did a good job - no matter how reality looks like ...

What are you looking for in a French thriller? I suspect you will find it in here. Hitmen, hookers, dodgy politicians, betrayal, Parisian chases... It's an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours if you are a fan of the genre... the cops aren't as greasy as those in Braquo or Spiral, the politicians not quite as odious as they undoubtedly could be, but vile enough.

Good Gallic Noir, but Diva set the bar very high, so....8.

Speaking of which, there's a nice wee tip of the hat to Diva in there too.... see if you spot it.
