Now in production in London and the United Kingdom, Netflix’s psychological thriller Locked In will star Famke Janssen (The Faculty) and Rose Williams (The Power), Deadline reports.
Alex Hassell (Violent Night), Finn Cole (Animal Kingdom) and Anna Friel (Monarch) also star in Locked In, which will mark the feature debut of director Nour Wazzi (The Last Bus).
The film “pits the unhappy newlywed Lina (Williams) against her brittle, damaged mother-in-law, Katherine (Janssen). An affair sets Lina onto a journey of secrecy, betrayal and murder — and a plot to seemingly destroy her. But who is the real victim, and who can she truly trust?”
Rowan Joffé wrote the script.

My roundup of the year in cinematic soundtracks is a sonic collage of emotion and sensations, mixed together with both pop and orchestral flourishes. We start off with music from Tár, Todd Field’s return to filmmaking and the story of the renowned conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic (Cate Blanchett). Hildur Guðnadóttir’s concept album features music from within the film and inspired by it, with original pieces alongside beloved works by Elgar and Mahler.Experiencing Memoria at the cinema turned my senses upside down. Here Apichatpong Weerasethakul is in full force, offering a cinematic experience of the sensory. If one were to critique a film based solely on its sonic sensibilities, Memoria achieves the highest embodiment of altered states possible through the marriage of sound and visuals. The realms of human consciousness are Apichatpong's focus and it is through sound design and music that we fall into his world.

ViacomCBS International Studios’ children’s division Vis Kids has signed a first-look deal with John Boyega’s UpperRoom Productions as part of a raft of content partnerships announced at the Kidscreen Summit Virtual 2021.
Under the deal with UpperRoom, the Star Wars actor’s company will present three to five projects to Vis Kids for consideration to develop into long-form series. Financial terms and the length of the deal were not disclosed.
Boyega founded UpperRoom in 2016 and last year, the outfit signed a deal with Netflix to develop non-English language films focusing on west and east Africa. Boyega has also boarded the South African crime thriller God Is Good as executive producer and is overseeing the film’s soundtrack through his UpperRoom Records label.
Other deals signed by Vis Kids include a first-look animation agreement with Fred Seibert, the driving force behind shows including Nickelodeon’s The Fairy OddParents and Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time.
