It is reportedly the first Telugu Zombie film.
In this movie, a poster has been shown in the very first sequence of the movie. That is the poster of 1996 horror film DEYYAM directed by RGV. In that film, it was shown that dead humans came alive from the graveyard. It's one of the characteristic of ZOMBIES. Because ZOMBIE REDDY was promoted as 'the first Zombie film in Telegu', director might use this poster to tell us that RGV was the first director who used this idea in India.
