The film commemorates the 10th anniversary of Victor Entertainment's animation and music production subsidiary Flying Dog.
The references of the film in the style of animation and various nods to City Pop, a popular genre of Japanese Pop in the 80s, such as in the store there are several albums of this sub-genre, such as Smile (the girl) was holding the vinyl of Sunshower by Taeko Ônuki and in there is a vinyl Tiny Bubbles by The Southern All Stars.
