A common trend amongst older Christian entertainment for children is a lack of a budget. Many kids like myself had a buffet of cheap Christian entertainment to choose from and lots of it was garbage. But to be fair, Quigley's village did OK for a show that had a limited audience & limited budget. Try to picture if Mr. Rogers decided to make a show focusing more on his personal beliefs rather than the amazing 33-year long show he did create.
Mr. Quigley is the main character and one of the few humans in the show. Most of the characters in Quigley's village are animals, portrayed by puppets. Throughout each show, Mr. Quigley and the characters teach their audiences lessons with a few references to God thrown in.
A show like this one is definitely lost to time, but it wasn't cringe or poorly done. The series is available for viewing on YouTube.
