Teenagers talk about sex in an extremely vulgar manner, using terms so vivid that most of them are near unprintable, including references to felching and cunnilingus.
Lance kisses Claire multiple times, and eventually has sex with her on screen. He begins to thrust, the bed rocks, she graphically requests for rear-entry, and this goes on for another 20 seconds or so.
Towards the end of the movie, Lance takes off all his clothes and jumps into the school pool. Although in the beginning you can't see anything, once he jumps in the water you can see his genitals when the camera goes underwater.

Suicide is referenced extensively, and Lance goes to great lengths (even faking a journal) to make Kyle's death look like a suicide. He even moves his son's dead body to the closet and "rehangs" him. In one scene, multiple people seem to be seeing the ghost of Kyle, and in one instance, the ghost appears to possibly be cutting his wrists. Lance sees Kyle's dead body in a PTSD-like flash before a swarm of kids hug him.
A teenager carves Kyle's name into her leg with a compass, creating bloody marks.

In the first two minutes a young man is shown in front of a computer with a cord around his neck. The scene sets a disturbing tone for the rest of the film.
