The movie has two sequels revolving around the character of "The Woman", The Woman (2011) and Darlin' (2019). Pollyanna McIntosh reprises the character in both sequels and even wrote and directed the third installment.
A second sequel is being released in 2019 following The Woman and The Youngest Daughter from The Woman (2011), called "Darlin'". It's directed by and stars the actress that plays The Woman, The Wallking Dead's, Pollyanna McIntosh.
At least one of the cannibals in this movie is really a vegetarian.
Part of the movie was filmed at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the upper peninsula of Michigan. The rock formation "Miner' s Castle" is clearly shown.
