Poly People (2020)
A polyamorous relationship of four people face trials and tribulations in their own uniquely comedic ways.

ABOUT POLY PEOPLE:
Poly People is an LGBTQ+ mockumentary comedy series about the daily life of four people in a polyamorous relationship. Its characters each have different sexual identities but fall in love and take each other as lovers and partners. Conceived in the depths of the pandemic by Melissa Girard, a lesbian writer with a shameless sense of humor, the magic started when Melissa approached Brazilian director/actor, Thales Corrêa, to produce her show. Thales right away contacted his partner Anthony Moore who also writes, produces, and acts along with Thales, Andrea Flowers, and Ilona Kulinska, and voila! The bootstrapped production is ready for prime time.

THE MAKING OF POLY PEOPLE:
Poly People employs 85% queer, female, and #POC identified people in front and behind the camera, and a strong representation of a #nonbinary character. The seven-part series was shot in two days and a half, self-financed by Thales Corrêa with the little remainings of his savings account. He bet everything into getting his voice from the page onto the screen.

#LOVEWINS has never been so well represented. In this show, the four characters have different sexual identities but they fell in love and took each other as lovers and partners. See? Love won!

A Hilarious Exploration of Love and Laughter!

Poly People, directed by the genius Thales Corrêa, hilariously captures the chaos and charm of a polyamorous foursome. Love triangles? Nah, try love rectangles! This side-splitting series fearlessly juggles laughter, love, and looniness. Trust me, you won't poly-believe the uproarious trials and tribulations these four get into. Thales Corrêa's direction + perfect cast chemistry = binge-worthy bliss. It's time to embrace the laughter and embrace the Poly People!

Forget your typical rom-com clichés; this series serves up a hilarious buffet of romantic entanglements. From accidental date overlaps to group therapy gone wild, the laugh-o-meter hits the roof with every episode.

Thales Correa's directorial finesse turns this unconventional love story into a comedic masterpiece. The chemistry between the characters crackles like a fireworks show on the Fourth of July. You'll find yourself rooting for their love square like it's the World Cup finals!

Poly People playfully challenges societal norms with a wink and a smile. Who needs a straight line when you can have a fabulously funny polygon? It's a refreshing celebration of love in all its glorious shapes.

The writing is as sharp as Cupid's arrow, puncturing your funny bone with precision timing. The one-liners are so sharp, they could slice through a pineapple at twenty paces.

So, if you're craving a comedy series that's as heartwarming as it is sidesplitting, Poly People is your match made in TV heaven. Grab some popcorn, snuggle up, and dive headfirst into this delightful romp of laughter and love. Get ready to laugh, swoon, and wonder why your own love life isn't as entertaining as this fab foursome's! #PolyPeoplePerfection.

    Funny as hell

This films is extremely funny and cleverly done and I give this film to thumbs up based off of the creativity that this movie provides along with a very well misdirection that causes a chain reaction of events. This movie all around was really good and right to the point it wasn't confusing in any way or misleading. It's definitely one of those films that I would recommend because the acting was good. The overall production was very well and the storyline was original in its own unique way. The beauty in independent films is shown when the entire cast and crew believes in the project. Keeping an eye on this director is something you do because the future is Bright for this one.
