When the red paint is shown on Eva's house and car, she wipes it off the car and it is also seen being washed off by wipers and later the rain, both indicating it is water based paint and not dry, but later she is seen sanding it off her house, implying it is permanent.
At the Christmas party in Eva's workplace a cigarette is put out by sticking it into a Christmas cake. At first we see it being put right next to an elf figure but then after the camera zooms out we see it on the other side of the cake.
A few times during the movie, there are noises coming from outside the house, the type caused by impact sprinklers. The last time, when Eva goes out to find Franklin and Celine murdered on the lawn, there are three oscillating type sprinklers operating. However these sprinklers do not make that kind of noise. There are no impact sprinklers visible.
Twice in flashbacks to Kevin's parents in their dating days, a UPS terminal with trucks can be seen in the near background. Those trucks have the new UPS logo, where if the time-frame is correct, the trucks would have had the old logo of a stringed parcel above the UPS Shield.
When Eva stops by a road construction site to take a break from Kevin's crying, a man operates a hydraulic hammer next to her. The sound of the hammer breaking the asphalt can be heard before it actually touches the ground.
During one of the close ups of the maps decorating Eva's wall, as the camera moves upward you can see its shadow on the wall.
The poster that appears in the Agency of travel behind Eva is of Buñol, the city where the war of tomatoes in the beginning of the movie takes place. The name is misspelled as "Bunôl"
