I will give some credit where it is due, Fred is not as bad as the movie Fred:The Movie, which for me is one of the worst movies ever made. But while it did start off pretty funny, it got repetitive and annoying very, very quickly.
Fred himself(played by an increasingly irritating Lucas Cruishank) is terribly annoying, he was alright to start with but once everything he said became stupider he became intolerable. It is not just the overdone facial expressions, it is also his voice which is little more than screaming and shouting, which has the appeal of fingernails on a black board.
What Fred says infuriates me too, it becomes very repetitive and a lot of it is reminiscent of angry ranting such as him saying horrible an irrelevant things about his mother, which for me is something nobody should say and also threatening to commit violent acts which is yet another thing that shouldn't be said. What's worse, it doesn't happen once, it has happened more times than I can remember, and none of it is funny. The camera work is also very dull and rushed, and the stories while decent at first quickly start running out of ideas.
All in all, better than the movie, but annoying, unfunny and lame. 2/10 Bethany Cox
