Liam Payne rose to fame as a member of One Direction. However, he was also a singer and songwriter in his own right. But, for his last live performance, he didn’t sing one of his tunes. Instead, he performed a song by another teen idol, who was a reported rival of Payne’s iconic band.
Liam Payne performed a Justin Bieber hit in 2022
The former One Direction singer and songwriter last performed live in 2022. Per Setlist FM, Liam Payne’s final performance took place in April 2022 at a private birthday party in the Bahamas. His last public performance was two months earlier, on February 12, 2022, in London.
He sang four songs. Payne performed “Heartless,” “Polaroid,” and One Direction’s “Infinity.” He closed the set with Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.”
Performing this tune was ironic, as there was a reported rivalry between the members of One Direction and Justin Bieber.

In recent years, Kanye West has said numerous things that are offensive beyond belief. During West’s early career, he said something far less controversial — that he could not make an album better than The Beatles. He revealed what it would take for another band to outperform the Fab Four. The “I Love It” rapper explained what made him stand out from the competition.
Kanye West said Beatles albums had connected with people their whole lives
During a 2008 interview with MTV, West had the gall to criticize other artists for displaying too much bravado. “Whenever bands come out and say, ‘This album is better than The Beatles,’ it is impossible to make an album better than The Beatles unless you’ve got 30 years,” he explained. “Beatles records — people have known them their whole lives … hopefully five years from now people still play ‘Love Lockdown’ and people still play the records...

For their feature debut collaboration, Brazilian filmmakers Nara Normande and Tião returned to the heart of Guaxuma, the beachside setting in Alagoas, for their film Heartless (Sem Coração). This region, one of Brazil’s most impoverished states, is a microcosm that blends elements of violence and beauty, reality and fantasy. It was also the very location where they created the universe in their award-winning short film, bearing the same title, almost a decade ago. However, what lured them back to this place were its people.
This portrait of youth was selected for the 2023 Venice Film Festival’s Orizzonti section. I had the opportunity to sit down with both filmmakers where we discussed how they developed the different characters including the titular Heartless (played by Eduarda Samara), how they embedded various working themes in the overall text and touched upon their working methodology.…...

Rapper Kanye West’s lack of hygiene has been turning his wife Bianca Censori off amid their global vacation. “He wears these outfits partly because he genuinely believes they showcase his fashion genius and forward-thinking,” a source told Radar Online of Ye’s trademark mask and heavy layers despite the summer heat. “But it’s also to cover him having gained a little weight,” reports aceshowbiz.com.
The “Gold Digger” emcee’s fashion choice, however, came with a stinky consequence for his wife.
The insider went on to say: “It’s a serious stench when the layers come off and he’s dripping in sweat head to toe – especially as he’s not big on showering – and poor Bianca’s nostrils are on the receiving end.”
Another source echoed the sentiment, commenting on Ye who was recently photographed wearing a head wrap, a double layer of shirts, loose pants and tight Spandex wraps in Italy.

Two movies whose directors are likely to draw protests, Woody Allen’s French-language “Coup de Chance” and Roman Polanski’s “The Palace,” will make their world premieres at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival, Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera and La Biennale di Venezia president Roberto Cicutto announced at a Tuesday morning press conference.
Both films will screen out of competition, though they’ll likely draw an inordinate amount of attention at a festival that has assembled a robust lineup of major filmmakers even as it struggles with the effects of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
Films booked for the Venice main competition include Bradley Cooper’s Leonard Bernstein biopic “Maestro”; Yorgos Lanthimos’ sci-fi drama “Poor Things”; Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla Presley film “Priscilla”; Michael Mann’s auto-racing film “Ferrari”; Ava DuVernay’s “Origin,” with Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Niecy Nash-Betts and Vera Farmiga; and David Fincher’s “The Killer,” with Michael Fassbender.

This month on Let’s Scare Bryan to Death, we’re navigating a harsh world as depicted by eccentric storyteller Philip Ridley. I’m a huge fan of Ridley’s surreal 1995 fable, The Passion of Darkly Noon, but I hadn’t realized that almost 15 years later he released another film, the 2009 urban fairy tale Heartless. So, I’m very grateful to this month’s guest, Bede Jermyn, for bringing it to my attention. Jermyn is a fantastic horror journalist who’s a member of the Australian Film Critics Association, a critic and podcaster for The Super Network, and host of Bede Vs. The Living Dead, a podcast devoted to exploring “remakes, re-edits, unofficial follow-ups, etc. to George A. Romero’s 1968 classic Night of the Living Dead.”
Ridley’s Heartless follows Jamie (Jim Sturgess), a lonely photographer who has a heart-shaped birthmark that covers half of his face that makes him very shy.

Diplo has corrected naysayers who he claims misunderstood what he said after Beyoncé’s win at the 2023 Grammys.
During Sunday (5 February) night’s music awards show, Beyoncé’s Renaissance won Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, beating the DJ who had also been nominated in the category.
As Beyoncé took the stage to receive her fourth trophy of the evening – putting her at a record-breaking career total of 32 Grammy awards and counting – Diplo could be seen saying something to his seat partner during the standing ovation.
Clips of the moment circulated on social media, with numerous Twitter users suggesting he had said: “They bought that.”
“Not Diplo saying ‘they bought that’ about Beyoncé win [crying emojis],” one user commented.
Diplo has since corrected the apparent misinterpretation on Instagram. In a post honouring “the dance music community”, the “Heartless” musician included a carousel of photos and video highlights of the evening.

Jennifer Garner shows off her box jumping skills. Pic credit: ©ImageCollect.com/Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency
If there’s one thing actress Jennifer Garner knows in the gym, it’s how to defeat a box jump.
The 13 Going on 30 star, who turned 50 this year, has shown her fans that she has no intentions of slowing down — especially when it comes to hitting her goals with her workouts.
Known to upload “behind-the-scenes” moments from her life on social media, Jennifer recently took to social media with a video that showed her attempting to jump up onto three stacked mats, which had an accumulated height of 33 inches.
With Kanye West’s song Heartless playing in the background amongst a hidden crowd, she first clapped her hands and hyped herself up to attempt the first jump — which she landed on her knees.

Kanye West’s critique of the classic sitcom Friends got a response from actress Courteney Cox.
Ye has returned to Instagram, reigniting his public battle with Kim Kardashian over their children. He has also taken aim at Adidas, Gap, and many others in numerous Instagram posts, which he subsequently deleted.
During his social media tirade, he posted and deleted an Instagram post to debunk a viral post on Twitter that purportedly came from the rapper.
The fake post reads, “Kim has diarrhea a lot. Like way more than a normal person should have it,” in reference to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Courteney Cox has mocked Kanye West after he claimed that Friends “wasn’t funny”.
Amidst the “Gold Digger” rapper’s recent return to Instagram, the rapper took a moment to clarify some of his past tweets, claiming that he didn’t write many of them.
In the now-deleted post, West’s caption reads: “This was not from me someone copied my style of text and wrote something not funny. I know you guys gonna be disappointed, but I actually didn’t write the tweet that said, ‘Friends wasn’t funny either.’
“But I wish I had. I’d love to know who thought of that.”
Cox – who played Monica Geller on the popular sitcom – responded to West in an Instagram Reel posted on Tuesday (7 September).
In the video, Cox can be seen nodding along to the rapper’s 2008 song “Heartless”, as she’s scrolling through Instagram.

Kim Kardashian has been famous for well over a decade. But in a conversation for Interview's recent cover story, editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg asked the Kardashians star when she knew she had "really arrived in high society." Her answer involved looking back at her time with Kanye West. "I mean, when I was with Kanye, and he was introducing me to a lot of people," Kim—who shares four kids with the "Heartless" rapper—said, "I think that definitely got a lot of people to have a different level of respect." Of course, she gives herself credit for where she is today, too. "I've also seen a s--t more recently—going to law school, just doing...

A new trailer for the upcoming series ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ starring David Tennant has been unveiled by Masterpiece PBS.
Tennant fronts the hour-long 8 episode drama that follows an outrageous bet, Fogg and his valet, Passepartout, take on the legendary journey of circumnavigating the globe in just 80 days, swiftly joined by aspiring journalist Abigail Fix, who seizes the chance to report on this extraordinary story.

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are almost here, so it’s time to take a look at some more top categories. This time, let’s consider who leads the genre races for the top artists of the year.
Top Rap Artist
One of the hardest categories this year, this is one where I could genuinely see anyone winning. I’m going to settle on the late Pop Smoke; his album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon” was just massive and is still launching singles on the Hot 100, and he did consistently well on all the year-end Billboard charts for 2020. Still, Lil Baby ended up slightly higher on the overall Top Artists list.
So it’s going to depend on who was more successful for those couple of months after the year-ends: the BBMAs eligibility period is March 21, 2020 through April 3, 2021, while the year-end charts only considered achievements through November 2020. So...

The Weeknd will perform at the Billboard Music Awards on May 23 — which is only fitting since he’s the top finalist this year with nominations in 16 categories, riding the success of his blockbuster “After Hours” album and its smash single “Blinding Lights,” which has crushed multiple streaming and chart records.
Over the course of his decade-long career, the Weeknd has racked up a dazzling number of Billboard chart records: He’s had 34 top 40-charting hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including six No. 1s, three of which came from “After Hours”: “Heartless,” “Blinding Lights” and his recent duet with Ariana Grande, “Save Your Tears,” which hit No. 1 more than a year after the album was released. “Blinding Lights” spent a record-breaking 57 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
He’s also had four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, including “After Hours,” which is the first album with three Billboard Hot 100 No.

In this comic skit, Corden turns up at rehearsals not only in the same red-jacketed outfit that the Weeknd has worn through the entire storyline around his “After Hours” album — but wearing the same full head of bandages that have confused fans ever since he rolled them out in November (the Weeknd explained the motivation behind the bandages in an exclusive interview with Variety last week). Despite the Weeknd’s insistence that he doesn’t need any help, Corden runs him through the paces — singing, working out, trying to perform while Corden throws footballs at him (which is actually reminiscent of Eric Andre’s hilarious “Rap Ninja Warriors” skit of a few years ago).

The pandemic ensures that the Weeknd’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl will be like none before. And in a brief interview for the NFL Network posted Thursday, he revealed another break with tradition: There will be no special guest.
Asked by sportscaster Kay Adams, he laughs and shakes his head before saying: “I’ve been reading a lot of rumors… I wouldn’t bet on it. There wasn’t any room to fit it in the narrative, in the story I was telling in the performance. So yeah. There’s no special guests.”

So, it seems there won’t be anyone like Beyonce, Travis Scott, Bruno Mars, Missy Elliott, M.I.A. or any other Super Bowl halftime special guests from recent years — or past collaborators like Daft Punk, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, Rosalia or Doja Cat...

Singer The Weeknd says his past Grammy Award wins mean nothing to him, following his 2021 nominations snub.
Soon after the nominations were announced last year, The Weeknd called the Grammy Awards corrupt for denying him nomination even in a single category. The three-time Grammy winner was snubbed despite having the successful album "After Hours" last year. He had also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Blinding lights" and "Heartless" in 2020.
In an interview to Billboard, the singer looked back at the snub, reports dailymail.co.uk.
"Look, I personally don't care anymore. I have three Grammys, which mean nothing to be now, obviously. It's not like, ‘Oh, I want the Grammy!' It's just that this happened, and I'm down to get in front of the fire, as long as it never happens again. I suck at giving speeches anyways. Forget awards shows," he said.
