Suddenly in the news as one of the many women accusing would-be President Trump of sexual advances, Jessica Drake wrote this minor vehicle for herself and the results are ho-hum.
Concept is that La Drake wants to give folks tips on the pitfalls of dating, so we watch six sequences illustrating what can happen. There is little effort made to knit the vignettes together, and despite Jessica's charm and sexual prowess the film adds up to nothing. Cast can't be faulted, but just as the lion's share of mainstream rom-coms are so lightweight that they seem to evaporate before the final reel unspools, "101" just lays there, innocuous. I couldn't get into it and even a female Cyrano type segment lacks interest.
In the self-help/advice arena Drake would be wise to stick to her ongoing series of Wicked educational videos.
