Bland attempt at replacing the original soundtrack of the classic "Night of the Living Dead" by George Romero with a so-called "Laugh Track" that has very few laughs with some upbeat music with a lame rap song at the end. The idea of having a laugh track is supposed to create something you will laugh with, but for me there were a couple of giggles, and that was about it. The storyline, which they tried to update for this version turned the zombies into star-struck locals who's cable rates were increased and so they aimlessly drifted after celebrity look-a-likes. When the downstairs dwellers arrived, they made the primary male characters into mixed up homosexual deviants coming out of the "basement" instead of the "closet." The OJ-like character than decides he is Noah from the Bible and is creating an ark out of the house for escape, and is trying to choose his leading lady from the leftover female characters. All this mixed up stuff is all in the name of comedy spoofing, but it just doesn't work. Charles Cozart writes and directs this attempt and employs a handful of voice talents to voice-over the original characters. It's definetly a well thought out piece, but there are too many silent gaps and just an overall wrong idea to make this work. I'm not sure exactly how many movies Cozart has done this for, but for the amount of work it appears to take, it is not worth it. Since the original movie is in the public domain - there have been various things like this done with the movie lawfully, I suppose because the film has such a high profile, and has a major fan base - so it's interesting to watch, but not for long. Stay with the originally cleaned-up version.
