The first of the Tinker Bell movies to be granted a cinema release. Disney was hoping to secure a nomination for Best Animated Feature by doing so, although this move proved unsuccessful.
The only movie in the series with no scenes set in Pixie Hollow. Also, this is the only movie in the series not to feature Queen Clarion.
A number of things (the fairy house placed in the woods, the girl's bedroom wallpapered with drawings of fairies, the fairies sneaking into the house) seem to have been copied by Disney from "Fairy Tale: A True Story."
During the boat-building scene, Bobble says, 'This one goes there, that one goes there..right', which Han Solo says to Chewbacca while repairing the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
The box Lizzy plays with has 'oatmeal' written on it, but in the UK, oatmeal is called porridge, so the box would have had "porridge oats" on the side instead.
