About half way through production the lead role of "Clay" was recast. All angles on the character were re-shot but very few reverse angles of the other characters needed to be re-shot - mostly just the ones were Clay appeared in a shot with another character. So, for example, the scenes in the movie where Clay is talking to his father, Sam, the Sam angles were shot with the original lead but the Clay angles were re-shot months later, as well as any two shots of both Clay and Sam.
It was during the Bare Bones film festival that director Ron Bonk originated the joke that crew person Kirk LaSalle looked like a "Coffin Model".
