I would love to know the story behind this short film as I was very surprised to see Hugh Jackman in a small scene in the middle. Other than that, it looks very much like a typical short film by a young film maker. How they got Jackman is something I'd love to know.
The story is a slice of life as narrated by a young boy. This boy seems obsessed with the number eight and again and again all the little directions the boy's narration go off to all eventually relate to the number eight. There's nothing particularly deep or unusual about this film--it's just a well made and occasionally funny little film made in Australia. The director had a good touch in capturing a kid's world and it's worth a peek.
