Ek Villain Returns does not offer anything new or exciting. The sequel failed to create the tension and gripping plot like Ek Villain. It has a clueless script with terrible execution and below-average direction. Riteish Deshmukh's Rakesh Mahadkar is still unforgettable, but here the writing is so mediocre that it offers you unmemorable characters and twists & turns which was already seen in many films.
John Abraham with one fixed expression is completely wasted here. Arjun Kapoor managed to deliver average performance. The leading ladies Disha and Tara got a good screen space but due to the half-baked roles, they delivered a passable performance. J. D. Chakravarthy, Shaad Randhawa, and other supporting casts have given unimpressive performances. Aseem Arora's dialogues are just fine. The music is up to par, Galliyan and Dil are the decent tracks.
