Felix is shown splitting wood by striking a wedge with the butt of a single-blade axe. The wedge is displayed when he raises the axe, butt forward, to split the last piece but when he comes down with the axe he strikes with the blade and the wedge has disappeared.
When Frank and Buddy are getting a photograph made of Felix, right before the camera shutter is tripped, the photographer bumps the view camera and it becomes aimed in a slightly different direction. The photographer fails to re-frame the shot which would never happen while using a view camera.
You can see a camera man in the reflection of the funeral coach.
