Miss G. is seen smoking a filtered cigarette, something that was not really available at the time.
One of the girls does her impression of Long John Silver from Treasure Island. Her impression is based on Robert Newton's distinct performance from Disney's 1950 film adaptation, yet Cracks takes place in 1934. It should also be noted that characters in pirate movies did not start talking that way until Robert Newton played Long John Silver.
