What a fantastic success for the South African film industry. I never watch locally produced shows because, to be honest, I pre-judge them as being bad without giving them a shot.
I watched a random part of episode 4 and it felt like it could have been episode 1 because of the tension, emotion and investment that the show commands in such a short space of time. Needless to say I had to start from episode 1 and not miss a thing.
It explores a broad range of themes, some of which are local to South Africa, and some of which are universal.
English speaking South Africans and their experiences are very rarely represented in the media so it made me feel comforted and even nostalgic, seeing my own experiences on the screen. I feel like I have met these characters and I can relate to all of them.
Above all, this story opens the curtain into the dark shadow of every character's life and proves that everyone has their own struggles behind the perfect veneers. So let's keep breathing and smell the roses. I can't wait for episode 8!

Arguably the best series ever produced in South Africa. The acting and writing is absolutely stellar. Impeccable acting with an excellent storyline. Every episode makes you wanting more. Danny is brilliant, had me in tears on more than one occasion. Candice - love to hate her character. Finally, a worthy South African television production that rivals the rest of the world. Loved this series. Well done to all concerned. The characters stayed in my mind long after each episode. They felt like MY family and MY friends. Typically South African lives and sentiments. Here's hoping there's a second season!

Could not wait for a Thursday night for the next episode. Brilliantly thought of story. Gripping episodes especially the finale. Can't wait for season 2.

We dont often see local South African content of this calibre. The writing is intense yet allows you to breathe, it keeps you on the edge of your seat, while not alienating the viewer. The cast were impeccably assembled, with a great charisma between each of them.
While I will admit its a little on the deep side for easy watching, its a great series that should stand tall amongst its foreign counterparts. Highly recommend it and hope we see more of 'the gang' in the future!

Yorrr guys. I thoroughly enjoyed this local lockdown drama. Thanks for keeping it REAL.
I appreciated the simple things like the two car guards fighting, the bin scratcher taking Trent's clothing - REAL - South African. Beautifully portrayed.
It was refreshing watching an SA drama. I impatiently wait for season 2.
Love you Lucy. Hope to see more of you in season 2. Thanks Johnny & Tiffany!!
The show idea about a layer who had to take a flight and then an accident happened had to to try her way out to survive, the main issues is that if we want to make a memory tape it should be in one individual episode not in every 4 minutes its like watching ad that does not add anything to the story , despite that the acting is nice the music were good and the WB studio well known , it could have been better and my rating is true not 5 not 4or 3 sadly.

Eish, makes Mattewis en Maraai look like the happiest comedy ever.
Romeo and Juliet? Shakespear had no idea when it comes to tragedy. Every episode is thick with anger, sorrow, loss, grieving and misery. Make sure you're up to it or be prepared to reach for the toaster in the bath. I know things in SA are tough, but this is hectic. How these adults made it to adulthood is a mystery.
