Broadway will honor the late actor Adrian Bailey, who died September 22 at the age of 67 following an at-home fall, by dimming the marquee lights of one theater from every theater owner on October 17.

“Over the years, Mr. Bailey has served as an inspiration not only due to his talented performances on Broadway and Touring Broadway stages, but also through his perseverance, positive attitude, and indomitable spirit,” said Jason Laks, Interim President of The Broadway League. “The outpouring of love from our community is a testament to that spirit. In losing Adrian Bailey, we have truly lost a bright light both on and off Broadway, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, former colleagues, and all who loved him best.”

The upcoming horror film Ghost Game is coming our way from quite an interesting creative team. It was directed by Jill Gevargizian, who was previously at the helm of The Stylist, from a screenplay by Adam Cesare, and has The Blair Witch Project co-creator Eduardo Sánchez serving as an executive producer. Adrian Bailey, the singer, actor and dancer whose long career in Broadway musicals ended when he fell through a trap door and suffered serious injuries before a production of The Little Mermaid, has died. He was 67.

Bailey died Sunday at a rehabilitation facility in New York on the day before his birthday, his brother Karl Bailey told The Hollywood Reporter. He had recently fallen in his New York apartment.

A native of Detroit, Bailey made his Broadway debut in 1976 in Your Arms Too Short to Box With God.

He then appeared in Sophisticated Ladies, My One and Only, Legs Diamond and Prince of Central Park in the 1980s; in Black and Blue, Jelly’s Last Jam, The Who’s Tommy, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Smokey Joe’s Café in the 1990s; and in The Wild Party, La Cage aux Folles and Hot Feet in the 2000s.

Arthur P. Siccardi, a longtime Broadway production supervisor whose five-decade career included work on such notable original and revival stagings as Sweeney Todd, Whose Life is it Anyway?, Sunday in the Park with George, Gypsy, The Heidi Chronicles and Sunset Boulevard, to name a few, died December 23 of complications from pneumonia. He was 89.

His death was announced by his son Drew Siccardi.

Born in Englewood, NJ, and raised in Fort Lee, Siccardi began his professional life as a minor league baseball pitcher for the Johnson City Cardinals from 1951-53. An employment offer to work as a show carpenter on the original national tour of Gypsy led to what would be his life’s work.

Siccardi established Arthur Siccardi Theatrical Services in 1975 at the suggestion of Michael Bennett, and he’d go on to work with such notable directors as Mike Nichols, Jerome Robbins, Tommy Tune, Gower Champion, Trevor Nunn and Michael Blakemore.

Georgia Engel, who earned two Emmy noms for playing Ted Baxter’s significant other Georgette Franklin on The Mary Tyler Moore and three consecutive for Everybody Loves Raymond, has died. She was 70. She died Friday in Princeton, NJ, her friend and executor John Quilty told The New York Times.

Engel joined The Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1972 when it was a top 10 primetime series and would appear in nearly 60 episodes over its final five seasons. Her dim but well-meaning Georgette was the love interest of self-important anchorman Baxter (Ted Knight), who courted and eventually her during the November 1975 sweep — though he didn’t seem all that prepared for it. They went on to adopt a child and later had one of their own.

The role earned her back-to-back Emmy noms for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 1976 and ’77.

Tony Bennett and Diana Krall unite for a classy, revamped version of George and Ira Gershwin’s 1924 song “Fascinating Rhythm.” The track previews their upcoming collaborative LP of Gershwin reworks, Love Is Here to Stay, out September 14th via Verve Records/Columbia Records.

On the single, the singers exchange vocals over snappy piano, brushed drums and walking double-bass. “Fascinating rhythm, you’ve got me on the go/ Fascinating rhythm, I’m all a-quiver,” Krall sings. The track ends with a slowed-down, swaggering blues progression.

Focus World has formally confirmed the title for Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton’s upcoming dramedy, which will now be released as 5 Flights Up.

During development, the project — which was directed by My One and Only‘s Richard Loncraine — flirted with a variety of titles including Ruth & Alex and Life Itself before settling on the aforementioned moniker. In tandem with the news, the studio also confirmed a new release date for the comedy, which will have a limited release on May 8, 2015.

As you’ve probably already guessed by now, 5 Flights Up will see Freeman and Keaton play a married couple who find themselves faced with a tough decision: should they sell their beloved Brooklyn home? Over the course of the film, they begin to realize that leaving the house they know and love may not be as daunting as they first imagined, instead offering up a whole new life opportunity in their twilight years.

Focus World has picked up domestic rights to the Diane Keaton-Morgan Freeman pic Ruth & Alex following its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. When Claire van der Boom auditioned for the role of a younger version of Diane Keaton.s character in the Us movie Life Itself, the director told her she was the only one who didn.t try to impersonate Keaton as Annie Hall in the classic Woody Allen movie.

That was the clincher and the Los Angeles-based Australian actress started shooting the film directed by Englishman Richard Loncraine (Wimbledon, My One and Only) in New York last week.

Adapted from Jill Ciment.s novel Heroic Measures, the film stars Keaton and Morgan Freeman as Ruth and Alex, a couple whose life is disrupted when the East Village apartment where they lived for 40 years is put up for sale, a bidding war ensues and Manhattan falls under a terrorism threat.

Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton have had long careers, both of them have won Oscars, and both of them are so popular and prolific that you'd have to assume they crossed paths at some point, right? Nope. The two will be filming their first movie together this year-- and even better, they'll be getting romantically involved to do it. Myriad Pictures announced the two will star in Richard Loncraine.s comedy Life Itself, and they.ll play a long-married couple, so they.re really going to get some screen time together in a plot that sounds more enjoyable than most of the feel-good projects that Keaton usually gets herself into. The film is Loncraine.s first since 2009.s My One and Only, and he.s reteaming with that film.s screenwriter Charlie Peters (3 Men and a Little Lady), who adapted it from the much-loved novel Heroic Measures by Jill Ciment.

The Team USA swimmer shared a photo of her first tattoo - the Olympic rings on her hip.

"All inked up Ahh! Can't believe it!" the 17-year-old athlete Tweeted on Thursday, along with a photo of the tattoo. "My one and only!"

It's a fitting tribute for Missy, as the swimmer left the London Olympic Games with five medals - four gold and one bronze.

Prior to her inking, Missy made a trip to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," where the Olympian had a great time with the late night host.
