OK, I give up. What is it with US gay films that seem to attract the most terminally incompetent cameramen and sound engineers? Here we have a potentially charming gay romantic comedy ruined by rotten sound engineering (half the dialogue is either drowned out by the sound of high heels clomping across wooden floors or is simply muffled and inaudible) and bad camera work. There must be hundreds, thousands, of competent sound engineers and cameramen in the US - why can't the gay film industry sign a few of them up? OK, rant over. Apart from all this, I did enjoy the film, which has a fun, if predictable plot, and commiserations to the very good cast. I can only hope that one day someone will re-make the film rather more professionally.
