For the holiday music in the toy store, in order to find a less expensive alternative to paying for actual Christmas Music, director Tebo performed royalty free Christmas songs on a keyboard using Apple's "Garage Band".
The last two days of the shoot was when the crew shot the finale scenes that are outside. They got lucky with the weather, as the next day there was a blizzard that crippled all of Massachusetts.
The special effects team used cooked spaghetti as the zombie goop which infects the various characters throughout the film, with a combination of white pigment and slime to mask its origin.
