...was the commentary done by the woman during commercial breaks. At least Lifetime is acknowledging that these movies aren't to be taken seriously. Most of us already know that, but I do see reviews here that treat these movies as if they are more than simple mindless diversions. They are formulaic, with plot holes you could drive a truck through if you pay too close attention to them.
I have to go now. I need to buy a strobe light so I can get people to do whatever I want!

Well, there is no such a great story neither a perfect plot, but I liked the movie somehow.
The outline is innovative I believe, nevertheless there was a massive misleading in the sense of introducing the hypnosis.

The idea that people could be so readily and effectively hypnotised to do such a range of things is just absurd.
Too much to stomach for Lifetime even.
Do not bother.

I will admit that I've been a huge fan of Sarah Butler. So I'm biased. Still, she does a great job playing the damsel in distress here.
However, I can only go as high as 7 on this film. There were at least a couple of unrealistic scenarios (arguably plot holes), and the whole premise of hypnosis being used in the way suggested, brings the film down a couple of nothces.
The plot is way too formulaic. If you haven't figured out how the while thing 30 minutes in, then you haven't watched enough Lifetime movies.
So why do I give it such a high rating? I find Lifetime movies fun to watch and I did enjoy watching this.

The title of this Lifetime movie, My Husband's Deadly Past, tells the audience that the husband is the killer but there's a whole lot more to the plot which really keeps you guessing for a while......Sarah Butler does an excellent job portraying the wife who figures out what he's up to and how to stop it all before he kills her, too. Highly recommended and will watch again.

Give me a break! Peter Benson being awful again in a LNM movie. I like Sarah Butler in most of her movies, but making her some moron with her mind being taken over by some dime store hypnotist is laughable. This guy couldn't hypnotize a fly. I was literally waiting for when a dog barked she'd chase the nearest cat. The concept of this film was just garbage. The only reason to watch was because I think Sarah Butler Carrie's most of these weakly written, edited and directed movies. Just an all around bad movie. That's why I always record them so I don't waste 2 hrs. It only takes me 45 min. To get through these disasters. For some reason I still keep watching. 🤷

If there's one thing I love about LIFETIME, it's amazing actress Sarah Butler's movies and from her 3 'Spit On Your Grave' movies to this FANTASTIC Thriller 'Woman On The Edge (My Husband's Secret Past)', she really pushes her acting to the limit and this edge of your seat thriller! I really liked her character Karen Croft, a woman who at the beginning, has these dream's that she murdered a young woman, but there's more to this story than that and there's a whole lot more to the plot which really keeps you guessing for awhile. Of course, Sarah Butler portrays the wife and she does an excellent job and at one point you're trying to piece the who story together! There are no car chases, but the prison break scene makes you scratch your head! I really connected to the actor Peter Benson, who plays Karen's husband Otto, a psychologist. I've also followed his work. This movie is actually one of Butler's better one's. This movie was worth watching again.
Sarah the actress playing the female protagonist wife of the titular husband in the movie is mesmerising, a younger brown eyed, brunette Nicole Kidman meets Meg Ryan. At age 35, she was hard to fathom as a teenager's biological mother in the movie. My core values are in sync with how the movie plot progresses.
And the film as a whole is very pretty too; nice houses, swimming pools, everyone looks dapper and well groomed. Worth the watch if you are a feminist.
