Not as good as RE2 remake but still a really great game. And it's not quite a one to one re-creation more of a new game really but for what it is it's really good. Good graphics good gameplay and a pretty good story as well.

Resident Evil is my favorite series of video games. I have played almost all of them except the Umbrella shooters and the ones that uses a light gun. They all vary in terms of quality, but there is not a Resident Evil (mainline) game that I would call downright bad and unplayable.
Resident Evil 3 Remake had a lot to live up to following the masterpiece Resident Evil 2 Remake. I feel that REmake3 is a good update to the original game but it does have some flaws that keep it from being a total masterpiece.
* FIRST off, don't let the other online reviewers lie to you, this game it NOT a BAD GAME. Whoever is saying this game is terrible is just trolling or looking to jump on the hate train (ahem, Steam forum users). The Critical Drinker's review was nothing but fan service and he was just trying way too hard to be funny and appeal to the masses, same thing with Angry Joe giving this game a low 6/10. Sure this game is only less than 5 hours, but not every games needs to be padded out to 100+ hours you unhealthy fools!
+ The graphics are even better than REmake2 and the environments in the first 1/3 look amazing. Getting a chance to explore the city while it is in ruins is awesome and eerie. Imagine the beginning of RE2 but a lot bigger.
+The voice acting and sound effects are great too. You can actually hear music now and it gets you pumped to blow some zombie brains out.
+Fun fast pace gameplay with lots of different guns to kill the undead with.
+A lot of different difficulties to choose from (more than 5, compared to RE2's 3 difficulty).
+Some fun stuff to unlock including special items, costumes, artwork, character models, and special weapons.
+A lot of challenges to complete.
-The first thing everybody will tell you is that this game is very short, I beat it in 4:45 my first time playing it.
-The Nemesis character is greatly disappointing and nowhere near as scary or intimidating as MR.X was in RE2. Nemesis is very scripted (even though Nemesis was also very scripted in the original too), and he only appears during certain times in the first 3rd of the game.
-Nemesis changes his form too quickly. In the original game Nemesis did not mutate until very late in the game, but in this game Nemesis mutates about 1/3 of the way and he becomes some sort of four legged beast monster.
-As of release, there are no extra modes after beating the game. Usually Resident Evil would give you a mini-game to play around with after beating it (Battle Mode, 4th Survivor Mode, or Mercenaries). You do get Resident Evil Resistance though, which is cool. They will probably release stuff down the line as DLC (hopefully free).
Overall this game is NOT THE BAD GAME some Steam reviewers are claiming it to be. It does not deserve a 53/100 from PC Gamer. This game is very fun and very fast pace. It feels like an action movie honestly. It is not scary and I only jump maybe once or twice when I wasn't expecting an enemy.
8/10 (maybe a 9/10 if Capcom releases DLC for it)

RE3 remake is well made, graphics are amazing, gameplay is uncanny and storyline is incredible. One down side for the game is that it's a short one. I enjoyed RE2 remake more just 'cause I got to play it more. Still, RE3 was remade nicely. 9/10.

First of all I ADORED the Resident Evil 2 remake from last year. Stunning graphics, great character designs/voice acting and incredible gameplay all came together to form the perfect Resident Evil experience. It's a masterpiece, pure and simple. The likes of which the franchise hadn't seen since Resident Evil 4.
Now here's Capcom's from scratch remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Does it deliver? In my opinion it does and then some. Like RE2, the graphics are beautiful and the detail within the settings and characters are truly remarkable while gameplay once again is top notch. I'm honestly very surprised at how many people have complained about the tone and pace of this one. Is it faster and more chaotic? Yes. Is it more action driven? Without a doubt. But is it still a kick ass game with plenty of replay value? 100%. I get that the game isn't as long as most of us would have liked but judging from the game we did get I couldn't be more pleased with the results. If RE2 was the Resident Evil 4 of the modern remake then RE3 is hands down the Resident Evil 5 of the two(more action driven, chaotic etc) and I love it!

The game was a fun remake of resident evil 3. The game could have had more that would have made it better. Still I had a good time with it. The parts with Nemesis were the best.
I really enjoyed the RE2 remake last year even as someone who has never been crazy about Resident Evil.
Just like that one, this game has outstanding atmosphere and graphics that sell it as an immersive horror action game. However, RE3 doesn't really bring anything new to the table besides a convienet dodge button. It's gameplay loop is very simple: explore and gather resources while choosing your battles wisley so you can advance to the next areas. If all that generally sounds like fun, it probably will be for you.
The big issue with this game is the length. Even with some dying and struggling, I beat the game just under 4 hours. This game doesn't have the replayability of RE2 with it's multiple character story modes. Yes it comes with a multiplayer mode, but Resistance is not something I see most people sticking with for very long.
As for the games story, fans will love it, but it's pretty basic in reality and rather predictable at times. There are also a couple of moments that I think don't work or make sense, especially one at the end.
It's a pretty good game overall, but for the next one, I expect more creativity and risk taking from the devs.

Well done again, good graphics, good characters, nice history, of course is not the same that the original, but it's too cool. I recomended for sure
Lots of problems here. Poor level design, buggy, boring fights, a skippable story, and very little uniqueness.
The graphics and sound is stellar. 10/10 actually. However, thats it. I hope they do better with the RE4 remake.
Buy on sale.

Meanwhile I'm Still Playing The game and it's so good the graphics the atmosphere of the game survival action horror genre is what make resident evil Franchise what makes the classic resident evil games so good! Highely Recommended Game.
I was initially put off from playing this because of GameSpot's poor review. However, I am coming to trust GameSpot more and mare. They botched The Ascent's review as well...
With that said, RE3 remake is every bit as fun as the original from my memory. The replay value is great, especially with the shop and challenges. There's a lot of lore hidden. And the nice tie in to RE2 is done very well.
The game came be sped through quickly. However, if you slow down and appreciate all the intricate details, it plays like RE2 but with beefier weaponry.
The visuals are outstanding. Especially on PS5.
Play it.

The gameplay and mechanics were really well done as well as the story and characters. However the game could easily be completed within a day. It took me 4 hours to go through it normally. I do like that it has a straightforward objective but it gets to it rather quickly but if you are looking to kill some time. Then this is definitely a game that people will like.

Let me clarify, I think Resident Evil 2 (Remake) is the best Resident Evil game, overtaking Resident Evil 4 even. I loved that game so much and couldn't wait for this game. Bigger and better I thought. I was wrong. If anyone tells you this is the best resident evil game they are lying or don't know video games. Lets start with the good.
Gameplay, graphics, atmosphere is all fantastic. It has an enhanced experience from RE2, the nemesis himself is one of the scariest enemies of ever faced in a game, very challenging but very fair and rewarding at the same time. Now the bad.
I beat the main story in 3 hours and 20 minutes. let me repeat that 3 HOURS AND 20 MINUTES. For Comparisons sake, Leon's story took me 6 hours and Claire's took me 5 hours, and those were 2 separate campaigns in the same game. There's only 1 in RE3 and the worst part. There is absolutely nothing after the main story, not another campaign no mercenaries or ghost survivor like the last game there is quite literally no replayability. It doesn't help that the game is really easy at the halfway point. Jill's 3nd weapon is literally a grenade launcher that evaporates pretty much every enemy in the game, and Carlo's has an assault rifle in all his segments, meaning taking care of ordinary zombies is a legit walk in the park, losing its survival horror feeling.
Despite those negatives 3 hours of gameplay was absolutely fantastic. If it was even 2 hours longer I'd recommend it but as it stands you'll be spending full price for a 3-4 hour experience. If you love Resident Evil, wait for it to go on sale. With its lack of content its not worth full price.
Let me clarify another thing. Nobody and I mean nobody should be spending full price for such a short experience. As much as I hate to say it, don't buy it. wait for a sale or don't buy it at all.

This game is so good. My god it's so much better than Resident Evil 2 and brings back nostalgia from the original.
Pros:better graphics
Downgrades :poor animations in the zombies without physics, scripted nemesis, without gore(that means you can't dismember zombies but only explode the head like 4 and 5 which was 10 year ago), the absent some of the most iconic areas of Re3 like clock tower and without dlc like mercenaries e.t.c. Thus, the conclusion is a average game (more like bad clone of Re2 with some new mechanics) with nothing to gain from it. At least for me.

(5 out of 5 stars).
Resident Evil 3 is a fresh and awesome remake to the original game RE 3 Nemesis. I am a huge fan of the series. And I think this game lived up to the original and it's previous remake of re 2. Where to start. There are some differences between the remake and original. But nothing disappointing. The remake is fast paced. It puts Jill Valentine right into action. The T virus outbreak is breaking loose into the city. Umbrella lets loose the nemesis. Which puts Jill in a while chase in the beginning. The nemesis design is awesome looking as he evolves throughout the game and the looks changes every time he runs into Jill. I do feel like the original game was still scarier with Nemesis chasing Jill room to room. The remake he does the same which is more intense than scary. Cause he runs faster.
The plot is great in the game. Jill is trying to escape the apocalyptic city of zombies. Monsters. And nemesis. With the help from Carlos and his team. The plot is fast paced. It never slows down.
The events in the remake is similar to original. There are less boring puzzles. The setting of raccoon city is amazing looking. The game also plays a brief visit at the police station. The clock tower is briefly in the game but the conflict with Jill and Nemesis is in there. The remake did cut out the graveyard setting and substituted the climatic factory setting with an underground Umbrella laboratory which was great. The climax lives up to the original with Jill and Nemesis.
The game play is a lot of fun and awesome. There are some intense moments. With facing a horde of zombies. Or hunters. Or a big gamma monster. The remake also is missing out on the grave digger worm. The game play is more flexible with controlling the character. I love how the game play is which gives you more freedom like avoiding the zombies from grabbing you by dodging. It was the one thing that was missing in the last game.
I loved how the remake brought back some of the music score from the original in this game which was awesome. It was also what was missing in the last game. The graphics are awesome. The design on Jill. Carlos. The settings. And nemesis is impressive. The controls are great and easy to handle.
The game is fast moving and fast paced. I did completed the game around 5 hours. I was never bored at any moment in the game. Either from running and battling through nemesis or walking through eerie hallways with zombies. Capcom is doing great in these remakes. The second game was fun. I loved resident evil 3 more and think it's one of the best games in the series. I really wish capcom can try to remake resident evil code Veronica game which would be fun to see. If they do remake re 4. Maybe they can make it different from the original which I did not care for re 4 through 6 which the tone changed into an action packed game.
Overall, Resident Evil 3 is awesome. It is a beautifully done remake that lived up to the original. It's fast paced. The graphics and game play is fun and exciting. It does have some intense moments. The plot. The gameplay is worth playing through it again. And I can't wait to see where capcom does next with resident evil.

"Resident Evil 3" feels like a very rushed game. The graphics are worse than the two previous games, dialogue feels choppy, and the story is close to nothing. It's, sadly, just as silly and ridiculous as you'd expect. And now I'm just hoping that the remake of "Resident Evil 4" is gonna be better than this one.

Had a blast playing through the game. The graphics looked amazing, voice acting was spot on, gameplay was SO enjoyable, controls were comfortable, loved the characters, (and hated the ones you were meant to hate). This Jill is the best version of her, for me. Nemesis himself was brilliant, but wanted a bit more of him chasing me. Game definitely could have been longer. Other than that, I'm in love with this game.
Why all the hate?!

Ok, Resident Evil 3 is pretty good, but it is too short, unfortunately.
I've missed more puzzles, more horror, more action...
I haven't played the original game, but I've already seen some videos on Youtube and the remake is very different. Lots of important scenarios, bosses and enemies were removed. Besides, the original game was more detailed, such as Dario's story, and had more puzzles, like Clock Tower's part.
I really hope Capcom will add some DLC to make the game longer and more enjoyable.
