Watched this on Shudder. The title card is kind of misleading. Also, its not horror. More of a comedy with drama and fantasy elements. The "horror" part was hardly gruesome or scary. Also also, its in French with subtitles.
I get the message, and I'm all for what they're trying to say. For me, though, this one was tough to watch. And I wouldn't have any idea what to suggest to make it work better. Glad to see trans-filmmaking representation, all the same.
Maybe French audiences will think this is brilliant. Here in the States, I doubt it will see a lot of airtime beyond a very small subset audience. Or those on Shudder who expected something else.
