Now, I was lured into watching the 2022 horror movie "Cannibal Cabin" because of the cover. I found the movie's cover to be rather interesting, though it was very much reminiscent of the "Cabin in the Woods" cover I suppose. Plus, the fact that it was a horror movie I had never seen, nor actually heard about, made me sit down and watch the movie.
I made it just a little more than halfway through the ordeal, then I had to give up on the movie and toss the towel in the ring out of sheer and utter boredom. Writer Charley McDougall put together an insanely slow paced and uneventful script and storyline, which made it very, very difficult to sit through, much less find anything enjoyable in the narrative.
Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Not that I can say that I was particularly impressed with what I saw on the screen, as the performances were mediocre. I blame it on the lack of proper writing for the script, character gallery and dialogue.
"Cannibal Cabin" was a swing and a a miss of a movie, and this is definitely not a movie that I will be returning to and attempt to finish watching. I just simply found no entertainment in director Louisa Warren's 2022 horror movie.
Well, as for "Cannibal Cabin" being a horror movie, don't count on it. The only thing scary here, was how slow paced and uneventful the movie was. But I suppose boredom can be a killer, so maybe that counts?
If you enjoy horror movies, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time, money or effort on "Cannibal Cabin". The best thing about the entire ordeal was actually the movie's cover. I kid you not.
My rating of "Cannibal Cabin" lands on a one out of ten stars.

What can I say...the film was so bad; the writing was horrible, the acting dire, the special effects hideous, the sound track awful...it was hilariously bad though..we laughed a lot for the 20 minutes we got through. Like, I don't want to be mean because...that's not nice, but I suggest the writers, directors and actors watch a few more movies before trying again, unless it was made by a bunch of 8 years olds, in which case...good jobs guys!
However as I'm assuming it was in fact adults that created this abomination, in which case perhaps you're more suited to a desk job, or perhaps try a career on the oil rigs, far, far away from civilization and away from a camera.

Seriosly, Britain is known for some of the most beautiful women in the world ,this movie proves that wrong, what a collection of mingers especially the foreign one, it only gets worse from there ,the acting is beyond awful ,the script defies description and so do the awful effects and cinematography, frankly ,though I'm writing this in 2024 this monstrosity gets my vote for worst movie of 2022,if not worst movie of the decade, though there's still plenty of time for British horror to decay further , though it's decayed so badly in recent years i I doubt it can go much lower than this, I long so much for the Dog Soldiers and 28 Days Later era.
Cannibal Lake is directed by Louisa Warren (Tooth Fairy 1,2, The Viking War, Pagan Warrior) and written by Charley McDougall which holds such a diverse range of characters. Interesting, strong and unpredictable.
Dubbed "a British Texas Chain Saw Massacre", Cannibal Lake tells the story of a group of 20 somethings, wanting to end the summer on a high, take the advice from a girl they met at a festival about a secret rave deep in the Valleys. When their route is detoured they have no choice but to venture into the unknown. Once they come across a derelict Leisure Park, they soon realize what they thought was their salvation turns out to be the heart of the cannibals lair.
Action packed!
