Scream 7 has added Isabel May, best known for her appearances in 1883 and 1923, to its cast in the key role of Sidney Prescott's (Neve Campbell) daughter.

A recent rumor claimed that McKenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) was up for the role of Sidney's eldest daughter, Tatum, which we assume is the same character.

In addition to the Yellowstone prequel shows, May has appeared in Young Sheldon, I Want You Back, and Run Hide Fight.

We recently got confirmation that Courteney Cox will reprise her role as Gale Weathers. The Friends alum had previously stated that she hadn't officially signed on, but revealed to US Magazine that Gale will be back after coming very close to death (every one of those 356 knife wounds clearly missed her vital organs) in the previous movie.

"I’m the longest running Scream queen, so I guess I can’t stop now,” said the actress.

The American actress is best known for starring as Katie Cooper on the Netflix series Alexa & Katie and had a recurring role as Veronica Duncan on the CBS series Young Sheldon. She held the lead role of Zoe Hull in the film Run Hide Fight. She is the narrator and leading protagonist of the Paramount+ series 1883.

The new Scream movie will include original cast members like Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. However, Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera, who starred in the previous two films, won’t be in this one.

Ortega dropped out due to her busy schedule, including work on Wednesday and other projects. Barrera was let go last year following controversy over her social media posts about the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Isabel May, best known for Taylor Sheridan’s mini-series “1883” for Paramount+, is in final discussions to star in “Wild World,” the upcoming revenge thriller from Emmy-nominated husband and wife duo Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly (“Queenpins.” “Beneath the Harvest Sky”).

The feature — based on a script by Gaudet and Pullapilly — follows a young woman who must use her survival skills to track down her little sister and exact revenge on the men who abducted her. Principal photography is expected to start in Fall/Winter 2025 in Australia.

International sales on “Wild World” are being launched at the American Film Market next week by Mark Gooder and Alison Thompson’s Cornerstone Films. CAA Media Finance is handling the North American rights.

Armie Hammer’s exile from the film industry appears to be over.

The actor — who hasn’t acted in more than three years following sexual assault allegations that arose in 2021 — has landed a key role in upcoming Western “Frontier Crucible.”

From “Bone Tomahawk” and “Dragged Across Concrete” producer Dallas Sonnier, the film comes from Sonnier’s Bonfire Legend banner and will be directed by Travis Mills (“The Pendragon Cycle”). Thomas Jane (“Boogie Nights”) also stars, alongside Myles Clohessy (“The Pendragon Cycle”), Eli Brown (“Run Hide Fight”), Eddie Spears (“Yellowstone”) and Zane Holtz (“Hunter Killer”), singer-songwriter Jonah Kagen and newcomer Mary Stickley.

Armie Hammer is the latest cancelled star to return to the movies. The actor, who faced several sexual assault allegations in 2021 from multiple women, is set to star in the western “Frontier Crucible.”

Hammer announced the project via an Instagram post, which he captioned “Back in the saddle.” The upcoming independently-financed project comes from producer Dallas Sonnier (“Bone Tomahawk”) and his Bonfire Legend production company and stars Thomas Jane.

Travis Mills (“The Pendragon Cycle”) will direct the movie, which is an adaptation of Harry Whittington’s novel “Desert Stake-Out.” Filming is expected to start next month in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona.

This is the project we revealed yesterday, starring Thomas Jane (The Predator) and produced by Bone Tomahawk and Dragged Across Concrete producer Dallas Sonnier. Filming is due to get underway on the independently-financed film next month in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona.

Hammer’s A-list Hollywood career was derailed back in 2021 when multiple women came forward with claims of abuse against him. Hammer denied the allegations but had to abandon several projects and was dropped by his talent agency and publicist. After an investigation into Hammer by the LA County District Attorney and LAPD, they declined to pursue criminal charges against him, citing insufficient evidence. He remains without representation other than his lawyer.

Shut In is, as I’m sure you’re aware, the new film from Ben Shapiro and his website The Daily Wire. I was initially impressed by the reviews it was getting. Then I noticed how many of them were from sites that, even if they didn’t call themselves conservative, right wing, or even political, had a very obvious point of view. Comments about “beta males”, Hollywood’s “liberal agenda” and complaints about “woke culture” abounded. So, as with their previous. film, Run Hide Fight, I decided to watch it and see if it was a decent thriller or propaganda.

Cult and controversial actor-director Vincent Gallo is returning to acting after a near decade-long absence from features.

Quietly, Gallo took on one of the lead roles in D.J. Caruso’s movie thriller Shut In, which is the first original movie from conservative media outlet-turned film producer The Daily Wire, which just revealed the casting.

The project marks Gallo’s first feature acting role since 2013 film The Human Trust. The actor-filmmaker, now 60, is best known for directing controversial indie movie The Brown Bunny (2003) with Chloe Sevigny and Christina Ricci starrer Buffalo 66 (1998). Peacock’ Bel-Air, a contemporary reimagining of the 90s Will Smith sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has set its main cast. Joining previously cast newcomer Jabari Banks, who will succeed Smith as Will, are fellow series regulars:

The dramatic reboot of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” at Peacock has filled out its main cast.

The upcoming series, known as “Bel-Air,” has added eight actors, who will star alongside previously announced series lead Jabari Banks in the role of Will.

The new cast members are: Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks; Cassandra Freeman as Vivian Banks; Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks; Coco Jones as Hilary Banks; Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks; Jimmy Akingbola as Geoffrey; Jordan L. Jones as Jazz; and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa.

The movie, whose production has been kept quiet to date, is directed by xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage and Disturbia director D.J. Caruso and stars actress and singer Rainey Qualley (Love In The Time Of Corona), sister of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actress Margaret Qualley.

Pic centers on a young single mother (Qualley) who is held captive along with her two children by a violent ex as she plots their escape before it’s too late. Caruso filmed the movie around Nashville and Watertown, Tennessee. Above is a first look image.

Producers are Dallas Sonnier (Bone Tomahawk) and Amanda Presmyk (Run Hide Fight) of Bonfire Legend, who acquired the film’s script in 2018 from screenwriter Melanie Toast.

I’ve been a huge fan of writer/director Kyle Rankin’s work ever since I first saw Infestation. His blend of comedy and horror really appealed to my sensibilities. Which means I’m always excited to see what he does next. However all his previous efforts never prepared me for Run Hide Fight… Gone are the laughs and in comes a shockingly real look at school shootings, from inside the building.

Run Hide Fight was inspired by a tragic incident in your own past so did that make it a harder script to write?

In 1999, my best friend and fellow filmmaker, Shayne Worcester, was gunned down during a mugging in San Francisco. It came to light years later that the event was a gang initiation — meaning guys who wanted to be part of a gang were tasked with going out and killing a random civilian that night. He was only 29.

I think about him all the time, so I wouldn’t say that writing Run Hide Fight was harder…it was instead maybe cathartic.

Exclusive: Conservative news website The Daily Wire has made its first movie acquisition with high school-shooting thriller Run Hide Fight, the first of multiple projects on a new film and TV slate.

Daily Wire has picked up North American rights to the Venice title, about a 17-year-old who must fight for her life and those of her schoolmates against a group of live-streaming terrorists. Isabel May, Thomas Jane and Radha Mitchell star in the film, whose first full trailer we can reveal above.

The film will premiere during a “Daily Wire Backstage event” hosted by Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro and co-ceo Jeremy Boreing on January 14. The event will be livestreamed on DailyWire and YouTube. After the premiere, Daily Wire members will be able to watch the movie on the film’s dedicated website.

Though ongoing border restrictions kept the Venice Film Festival off-limits to most of Hollywood, the Lido wasn’t entirely devoid of Americans. Casts and crews of selected films and other invitees were able to enter Italy in limited numbers, using festival invitation letters to circumvent the country’s ban on non-essential travel. Those who braved the journey got their share of double takes from unsuspecting Europeans in the process.

Nick Shumaker, an agent with UTA, received a letter from the festival inviting him to attend, but had to take nasal swabs both 72 hours before leaving the U.S. and immediately upon arrival in Venice.
