Max Boyce originally planned the series to run for five episodes and spent his entire summer writing songs and sketches; however, when Wales unexpectedly failed to qualify for the rugby quarter finals, he had to lose virtually all of his work and the series was cut from five episodes to two, forcing him to re-write three months of work in a day and a half.
