Shot completely in 16mm, 79 PARTS is a gritty, period action comedy film that walks the audience back to a time of idiotic small-time hoods, loan sharks, scam artists, Feds, gamblers and illegal Irish and Italian immigrants. The film was shot over a 6 year period and takes place in only seven days--so the actors had to look the same on every shoot, and a good amount of hair color had to be applied to actors who greyed in that period, not to mention keeping an eye on weight loss and weight gain for all the principal talent.
