This is an interesting series. A few items are too out there to be real. However, stopping every 15 minutes and looking up the stuff on the net you will find most of it is even conservative in nature.
Many of the subjects or weird stuff seems to have been left out of major motion pictures. I was familiar with the movies "The Man Who was Never There" and many of the other subjects.
My surprises were with such things as lime decease. When I was in the military while taking a test for promotion, I got one answer wrong. They asked wat is a vector and I said it was ether a math symbol pointing in a particular direction or it was a computer term pointing to the next sentence. Wrong the answer was it was a biological (usually an insect) that carries a decease. Hence lime disease is carried by ticks. Like West Nile virus is carried by mosquitoes.
Much of the information from the program is already well known. But now and then, here and there, is a stumper as bats and dogs carrying bombs.

While some of the topics are little out there. This show is very interesting from Sea monsters attacking U-boat to Japan using the Black death as a biological weapon. This show highlights some less well known and stranger events that happened during WW2. It is good to have on in the background.
So very interesting short stories about unusual activities during World War Two. However, it is let down by playing film footage from the war that is irrelevant to that being discussed. For example showing film of allied soldiers in the desert during WW2 whilst discussing an incident in WW1. It's as if they treat the audience's as fools and they won't know the difference.
Almost 100 million people lost their lives in WWII. To cheapen the atrocity, by continuing this cheap string of cheap, illogical and irrational programs with the same "experts" and (maybe even worse) "journalists" like Andrew Gough posing as knowledgeable scholars is not only spitting on the graves of those who fought fascism and totalitarianism, it's fueling the nonsensical excuse of "just asking questions" about what ACTUALLY happened.
There's a stark, staggering, and seriously scary rise of far right movements in the world. How dare The "History" Channel and other outlets put out this tripe that leads some people to question extremely relevant history in any time, let alone one where we are seeing a terrible rhyme starting in world history. How dare them.

I was flicking through the channels when I came across this late yesterday afternoon, and I thought that I would give it a go, as it looked interesting. It never crossed my mind that I would suddenly become angry, and want to turn the channel so quickly, and then I heard the unmistakable, wittering, slurring voice of a certain nick pope.
I have tried to look up and find out why this irritating, loathsome man was in this, but there only seems to be one person listed, and it is certainly not him. I suppose that this series could be okay to watch, but I certainly will not be trying again, not when his big head and very large nose could appear without warning.
