Other than beautiful cinematography not really a worth to watch thriller. Very slow and predictable.

That's all........if you watch this movie,don't expect too much.

Absolute rubbish!...a waste of my time. Great cinematography, could have had potential but a pathetic and weak storyline let it down.

It's all about the location and the main actress Ivanna. Nothing else deserves your money or time.

If daftness of her climbing uphill and up stream in order to save herself on the mountain haven't put you off watching this movie to the end, make sure to let credits run. You don't want miss day five.

Like all good horror films should be, this one excels in its dark atmosphere and a pervading sense of dread throughout (not an easy thing to accomplish by any means), so if you like your horror films made in a lugubrious, understated style in the eastern European mould, then this one may be right up your horror alley but do make sure you get a proper set of subtitles as most available will not translate the Georgian language spoken in the movie to English properly!

It does feel a little underdeveloped and could have been so much more but it is a lot better than a lot of the endless USA stalk and slash attempts at horror I have been watching recently and they do pretty well with the budget they had to work with in this film.

Some utterly superb photography, sweeping quadcopter shots over mountains and lakes, luscious scenery, some good snowboarding scenes if that is your thing and competent acting (which is always a bonus in a horror film) and I have to say the director Stanislav does conjure up a rather languorous, ominous and dread filled atmosphere with what he had to work with. It is not filled with gratuitous kills or the usual low brow foul language which is a welcome relief after having had to endure dreck like "Those Who Wish Me Dead" just before I watched this and Let It Snow is a far, far better movie, with 100th the budget and no well known actors in it imho.

The music and sound effects were also perfect and well chosen for the film and added to the mystery which is something a lot of directors try for and most fail at.

This film actually reminds me of "The Dyatlov Pass" movie in a lot of ways but watch out for the blood soaked snowman scene, it was real "horror" in the true sense of the word and chilled me to the bone and was the perfect ending for a true horror film - Unfortunately the usual end credits scene should have been cut and did spoil this superb ending for me; it is as if horror directors seem to think it is part of the menu for creating a horror to give us a mid credits or end credits surprise ending but most times it is not necessary and is superfluous to requirements and can actually spoil the film!

I have lived in eastern Europe so the style and folklore elements are not foreign to me but I guess for a lot of viewers it may be a bit too far out of their comfort zone but give it a go, you might just find it hits that horror nerve deliciously!

If you are looking for that elusive decent horror film this year then you may just find this is the Diamond amongst the coal this year and a solid above average 6 hatchets on the horror scale from me on this rather admirable low budget eastern European horror!

If you are a horror movie buff, this movie is definitely not fo you. 'Let it Snow' is a genuine and tensed thriller. If you're watching this to get some jumpscares or to see flying body parts, this ain't your movie.

The cinematography is gorgeous, displaying beautiful mountains of Georgia. Great cinematography is something I have not seen in a low-budget movie for a long time. It's really cool that small Ukrainian crew managed to make a visually stunning movie with almost no budget. The editing and sound design are also amazing.

An unexpected twist at the end of a story works pretty well.

Final Score: 9/10

It's not an Oscar winner, but this movie looked great, the physical acting was good. The dialogue and vocal acting was the only real negative.

Even the ending, while not ideal is understandable considering the mental state of the subjects.

At the time of my review this movie is trending at 4 stars. Come on. It's better than that.

Anyway. If anything it indicates that I should give more of these lower rated movies a chance.

Another lockdown film with about 3 characters and all boring. The story wasn't very interesting so I turned it off half way through.

This is what happens when eastern europeans try to write english dialog. Add to that, the most insufferable male lead known to man and a female protagonist who wanders aimlessly through the snow for a hour and you've got a spectacular recipe for disaster. There are too many deplorable a$$holes who deem fine indie films unwatchable. This is not one of those times. This is the most boring, nonevent film ever.

Don't waste your time!

I'm not sure what the point of this movie is. It's dull with unrealistic plot. And the ending is just confusing. The acting is just terrible.

If you've seen enough horror movies you know the plot is going to take one turn in a movie like this with possibly a twist. Except this really doesn't take much of one. Once you figure it out it's a one and done.

After that it's just the lead actress trudging around in snow, yelling, and a few moments where you think they may twist things around or add more to it but never do.

Scenery is beautiful to watch though. There's a point where an incorrectly executed shot sucks you right out of the movie (I'm not gonna tell you where because if you see it you probably won't get back into it).

With the beautiful location there could have been so much more that could have been done with.

Nice plot and storyline, acting is good, wonderful scenery throughout. Few jumps and scares. The twist was very predictable, is more a thriller than a horror, however it is worth a watch

You cab always predict the outcome when a bunch of entitled Americans fail to hear the warnings given by foreign locals about their local legends.

It wasn't the scariest. It wasn't the best but it was watchable. How she got through such cold weather without gloves and only 1 layer of clothing was beyond me but that was just a minor overlook in details. The movie is worth a watch though.

Let it Snow (2020) is a Ukrainian horror movie I recently watched on Tubi. The storyline follows a couple who go snowboarding on the side of a mountain they've been warned to avoid. They quickly get separated and discover they aren't the only ones on that side of the mountain. A man looking to hunt them down and potentially torture them are on their heels.

This movie is directed by Stanislav Kapralov (I Am Illusion) and stars Ivanna Sakhno (Pacific Rim: Uprising), Tinatin Dalakishvili (Abigail) and Alex Hafner (Submergence).

This is one of those movie that when it gets to the end there a great scene and you think to yourself, "Where has this been the entire movie?" The ending scene with the snowman is pretty excellent. There's also some great cinematography in here too. Unfortunately I wanted so much more from this picture. There should have been better kill and torture scenes. The circumstances set up perfectly for a really intense and well done movie but the execution and consistency wasn't where it needed to be. This relies too much on the worthwhile and clever climax but the movie overall drags.

Overall this is borderline worth watching with 1-2 worthwhile sequences but a lot more bad than good elements. I would score this a 3-3.5/10 and recommend seeing it one time only if you're a diehard horror enthusiast.

If there's one thing horror movies taught us since the year 2000, it's that countries in the East of Europe are dangerous, and the people who live there are psychopaths that want to kill unsuspecting American tourists. Okay, admittedly "Let it Snow" isn't a "Hostel" rip-off, but the theory is nevertheless applicable. There are countless of magnificent skiing & snowboarding resorts in France, Italy, Austria, or Switzerland, but for some reason the young couple Mia and Max insist on traveling to Georgia.

They want to freeride down the notorious Black Ridge, but a) it's a forbidden and inhospitable zone full of avalanche-danger, ravines, and the risk of getting lost. And b) there's an entirely dressed in black psycho on a snow scooter stalking and killing reckless snowboarders. His/her motivation is made clear during the intro, as two snowboarders crash into a young girl and leave her to die in the cold. Surely, there is someone in Georgia who swore to avenge the poor kid.

The idea behind "Let it Snow" is mixture between "Friday the 13th" and any random survival horror flick, but - trust me - it's a description that makes the film sound a lot better and more entertaining than it really is. In fact, it's an intolerably slow-paced, boring, and predictable thriller without action or gore. The non-action is constantly interfered by the dullest clichés, like flashbacks to romantic conversations in bed or all the sinister locals behaving suspiciously, and there's endless footage of a physically and mentally suffering Mia trekking through the snow. Yes, the poor girl is going through hell, we get it.

Let It Snow (2020) -

If I'm honest I wouldn't normally tune in to a horror film, but I do love anything Christmassy. When I realised that it was a horror however, I did decide to give it a go, mostly because the synopsis said that it contained sex, which I also like.

However, Alex Hafner as Max was slimey and unattractive, so that element lost its appeal when I realised he was the one most likely to be naked (I'm not in to girls).

I almost couldn't wait for him to get eaten by snow monsters or whatever.

Ivanna Sakho seemed alright though, but I didn't think that I could put up with the whole tension of the film for what might be a good performance from her.

In fairness to the film, I didn't give it much of an opportunity and at another time I might have let it carry on, but the IMDB ratings and reviews certainly didn't make me feel that I would be missing out.

If a friend tells me that it would have been worth watching all the way through, I might try again, but with a sky box full of things to watch I didn't stick with it this time.
