this is really a beautiful short film about a theatre piece of Hauser orkater. One of the real gems of Dutch shorts. Frans Weisz is not only a very good film director but also a distinguished theatre director. One of his best films is Het gangstermeisje after the novel of Remco Campert. Alex van Warmerdam wrote this piece and played one of the lesser parts. Many years Alex van Warmerdam was one of the most interesting theatre makers of Holland. With the movie "ABEL" he started film-making as a director and this year (2009) he made his seventh movie, EMMA BLANK. Most of his films he made with his wife (Annette Malherbe), a famous Dutch actress in plays, movies en TV-series.
