Inspired by the unresolved Dupont de Ligonnès affair, with character names changed. As such, the real life Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès becomes Christophe de Salin while hacker Chris la Vérité inspired Anna-Rose Gagnières. The affair was also the basis for Inside Suspicion (2019) for competing channel TF1.
