I simply do not get all the rave reviews for King FU Ghost. Is it a bad movie? No it is not but it is certainly well below average. The only things I liked are the cat at the beginning and Jennifer Linch ( Daisy) is certainly easy on the eyes. The love story between Daisy and William ( a living person and a ghost) was done so much better in Suzie Q, and the ending of the movie was taken straight from Suzie Q ( anyone who has seen both films will know what I am talking about, if you have not check it out on YouTube). The other thing is the movie is supposed to be a comedy it really isn't. It is a light drama with martial arts mixed in. Finally none of the characters except Daisy stick out for me. I give Jennifer Linch credit for writing directing and starting. For her I give 3/10 stars.

This is close to fan film quality. The script is barely functional, it's predictable, but the saving grace is the main actress. She's quite good at comedy. I can't tell if all her lines were scripted or some of them ad-libbed, but during the first hour or so she popped out line after line that are just hilarious.
If one ignores the poor filming, poor directing, poor script and just enjoys the one-liners, it's at least worth a watch. But don't go in expecting much. As movies go this would make a good film school "Things to do and not do in a film" leader movie.
I do have to say though, that I have seen no other film with as many OBVIOUSLY biased staff / family reviews as this one. Consistent 9 & 10 star reviews for THIS film... each review with detailed production information? Not buying it.
About an hour in I found myself getting bored as even the one-liners lost their thrust and they became more serious, losing what they had going for them up to that point. This would probably make a good MST3K satire film. Definitely a rainy-Saturday-bored type movie. The first hour is worth it just to hear the one-liners and cute accent of the lead actress.

Move over Tommy Wiseau! Watch out Neil Breen! There's a new name out there for poor B movies. I had hopes this would be as good as The VelociPastor but sadly it was not. The first 20 minutes was chuckle worthy in the right direction, but then the comedy stopped (or it just got old that quick?). As someone who knew the late Joe D'Amato, who also produced a B movie I worked on called Bullets, Fangs and Dinner at 8, he would be very proud of how this film turned out. But movies like this only work for me when they are made like this intentionally. Unfortunately this film was too long for what it was.

Kung Fu Ghost is a film with many good qualities - a unique storyline and inclusion of up-and-coming new actors that do a fair job portraying their characters.
The storyline follows a young woman named Daisy (Jennifer N. Linch) who has moved from Vietnam to California after inheriting her late grandfather's (David S. Dawson) estate. Quickly after she arrives, she discovers that the estate is haunted by the spirit of her grandfather and a ghost named William (Noah Sargent). The ghostly inhabitants vow to protect her family's secrets and special artifacts, but when treasure-hunting criminals threaten the future, she teams up with the ghosts to try and stop them.
Kung Fu Ghost is a film with a lot of potential. I like that it shows us some new talent like Jennifer N. Linch, David S. Dawson and Noah Sargent. These actors are clearly passionate about this project and it shows in their performances. Jennifer N. Linch shows fear, admiration, shock, anger, disappointment and so many other emotions. Her reactions to certain situations are realistic, which makes the audience more interested in the story. You can also tell that the actors were well prepared for their roles. Kung Fu Ghost has a few editing flaws, such as the scenes where Daisy is on a video call with her aunt. The picture of Daisy's aunt is noticeably edited onto the phone. An honorable mention is Jennifer N. Linch, who serves as the director and producer, and also plays the lead role. Not only does Jennifer N. Linch have all of these credits for this film, but she also specializes in various martial arts, which is incorporated into the film. Adding this element to the Kung Fu Ghost makes it feel more authentic.
The message of Kung Fu Ghost is to give people a chance before you judge them. Although Daisy is quick to not want anything to do with her ghost grandfather, she finds that she can rely on him more than she initially thinks.
I give Kung Fu Ghost 3 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 12 to 18, plus adults. Viewers who enjoy movies about ghosts and spirits may find Kung Fu Ghost particularly fascinating. You can find Kung Fu Ghost on VOD and DVD August 2, 2022. By Maica N., KIDS FIRST!

In society today, it's difficult to shield our young ones from cursing and gratuitous violence, in movies, music, and the internet. Movies of decades past were wholesome with good story and didn't rely on gruesome special effects, 4-letter words every other word and blood splatter in every scene. Kung Fu Ghost reminds me of when I was watching those fun movies on TV on Saturday afternoons in my footed pajamas while eating my FruitLoops and Lucky Charms and never realizing for a moment while I was fixated on that piece of furniture with it's tiny magic screen in front of me that life outside the safety of my parent's home was often filled with things a young boy didn't need to worry about, at least until he becomes an adult. While some movie productions spend hundreds of millions on their projects and still miss the mark, Kung Fu Ghost is an exceptional independent production with a fun cast and an enjoyable story. Enjoy the fun of Kung Fu Ghost!

Kung Fu Ghost is a cute film with action, and comedy. The story picks up in Vietnam with Daisy, a bright eyed and bushy tailed girl who comes to America. I enjoyed the plot as well as the surprise ending. The film is enjoyable and it takes me back to when movies were full of hope, love and kindness. If you want to have a family event together at home I recommend Kung Fu Ghost.

Kung Fu Ghost has it all -- comedy, suspense, romance, surprises, and great action sequences! Kids will especially love this movie! The director, Jennifer Linch, is also a superb actress, showing all emotions brilliantly and being very comedic as well! You will enjoy this movie.
What I loved about this film is that it's very light hearted. It is a good feeling film overall. The BTS at the end was super fun. The Grandpa character reminded me of my own Grandpa when it came to Alexa and technology lol . " Alexi, Alexi.. ". " How didn't see answer me ? ". Grandpa is funny and silly, love him. The two main leads have excellent chemistry. Wish to see more of them together. A great little find.

This movie is very different from what are available right now on most platforms. It's quirky, silly and a happy feeling overall. The girl who plays Daisy is actually a very beautiful good actress, almost got me emotional there at the fireplace scene. The fights are very cool and reminded me of the one Donnie Yen film back in 2010 but it is more silly and fun like a Jackie style. The VFX is low budget but it is a good time. The BTS at the end is awesome. And That Cat is awesome. Wish my cat that smart.

Well, this is unlike any other movies out there that i have watched the last few years. It is low budget , the VFX is ok , not good due to low budget, but the lead is very cute and the fights are great. The love story is unexpected and it is an emotional ride . Good time to watch something new. Hope to see more from her.

Shot in 2020 and after two years of post-production, we finally have Jennifer Linch's feature film debut, Kung Fu Ghost. Is it perfect? No. Does it need to be perfect? No. Is it fun? Yes! Linch clearly busted her butt (literally and figuratively) to get the film made as it was a passion project, having grown up watching fantasy wuxia pian and romance stuff. She also likes comedy and let's face it, it will not be for everyone. However, for a feature film debut, give Linch credit.
Going from ditzy lazy girl to kung fu warrior is quite a feat and there are some pretty interesting flashbacks and twists that keep the story going enough. Linch is a martial artist so she was able to handle her fight scenes well.
This is just the beginning of what could be an exciting journey for Jennifer Linch. I, for one, wants to see what she will conjure up next!

My 5 year old girl loved it. It's very goofy but the fight scenes are great. The ending made me .... well, you need to watch it. But we had a fun morning watching this silly fun awesome film.

The Movie Kung Fu Ghost premiered on July 31st - August 1st at Lights of Liberty Theater in Liberty Kentucky. Stanford Kentucky's Mayor, Chief of Police, Detective, Captain, an Officer and the Training Director who served many years at the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department of Corrections all came out to watch the movie. They all loved it, especially the fact that the film had no curse words in it and that it was just a good clean family fun film. Many in Kentucky made the comment about how cute they thought the character in the film Daisy was. Everyone who attended the premiere in Kentucky and saw the film on the big screen absolutely loved it!! 🙂

The love story of the film reminded me of Casper and Ghost of Demi Moore in the 90s. The fun cool fight scenes are pretty much like a Jackie chan movie in the early 80, 90s along with the pretty sick behind the scene footages at the end. Overall, the two leads are very good looking and have great chemistry. The old grandpa guy is funny . You don't see them making movies like this anymore. I enjoy it.

I really enjoyed it. A nice clean movie that the family can enjoy together. It had action, comedy and romance and it was just a really fun time.
The action was fast paced, the comedy was light and silly. I'd recommend it for a chill movie night.

I just watched this film and despite various technical flaws I was so very entertained from start to finish. My hat is off to writer Ivan Wright for so many funny lines delivered by delightful, eye catching, super talented Jennifer N. Linch. LIke when Daisy complains about being possessed by a fat Jackie Chan and how difficult it is to be sexy. Yes, klunky here and there and Warren seemed stiff as a board delivering his lines but Jennifers presence in virtually every seen made for such a fun movie 'ride'. The various surreal, colorful foilage scenes were an peasant surprise. Artsy in a good way. In the end it was Jennifer who steals the show from the moment she gives her cat bills to pay to her amazing first hours in the house and never ending comedic complaints she was a joy to behold. Thumbs up for a unique, fun, entertaining film.

We were bored and just browsing around and saw the poster and trailer, it was kind of fun so we decided to check it out. From the moment she and her cat were paying the bills, we were hooked ( I love cats so... bite me ). The entire time, I felt like I was stuck in the house and discover things - ghosts -with Daisy. And damn, my groins hurt watching the training scenes LOL. Yikes...
The special effects are very simple , the color is great and the fights are very realistic. The BTS you can see how they filmed the fights, I LOVE THAT.
The piano song is very nice.
Even though it is a low budget film but we had high budget fun haha.
There are laughs but also tears but in the end, you feel awesome watching this film.

The trailer of this film seemed fun and silly and i was in the mood so the tears at the end was unexpected. I didn't know a goofy martial comedy can make you cry. Now I do. Just have to be careful next time lol.
Nothing in the trailer indicated there was a very nice love story between Daisy and William. It was an emotional roller coaster for me. The fight scenes are cool and all but i wished there would be more scenes of Daisy and William. The two leads seemed to have great chemistry.
With that ending, maybe they should make another one. If there is more of William and Daisy in the next one, i am in.
The feel of this movie is intimate and personal. I absolutely love William voice when he read the poem to Daisy. I need a man who can read me something like that LOL.

Kung Fu Ghost is a rad film, especially if you dig martial arts and a good chuckle. The lead actress is a total boss with her awesome skills, she is funny and very pretty. Her chemistry with William the ghost adds a cool dynamic to the movie. Totally dig the footages at the end of how the movie was put together. They had fun, it was fun to watch them.
It's family-friendly, making it perfect for a laid-back Sunday. The lead actress not only kicks butt but also brings serious talent to the table.
This film is a solid pick if you're into action, laughter, and just want to unwind ya.
" I exercise my rights not to exercise " I am definitely doing that this weekend.

This film is truly a work worth watching, from the plot to the acting, everything is excellent. The fascinating details constantly create suspense, making the audience unable to take their eyes off the screen. Actors portrays the role wonderfully, with variety in expression and sincerity in acting. The director has created a special atmosphere, combining great music and visuals, enhancing the experience of the audience. Besides, the film's message is also very profound and close to real life, making viewers feel connected and thoughtful. In short, this is not only an entertaining film but also a a meaningful work of art, worth everyone's time to experience.
