This Swedish miniseries showed in the US on MHz (a foreign-language showcase carried by some PBS stations), under the title: "Those in Power: The Regicide." A wife-beating politician is on the verge of taking over the ruling party; he's also involved with a young Moslem assistant who has her own problems with a family intent on seeing her "properly" married...or else. The theme is the mistreatment of women by powerful men, and what those women can do about it. If this sounds heavy-handed, it's not; the suspense if absolutely riveting. It's been a long time since I've been so emotionally swept up in a TV drama, on the edge of my seat to see how the story would turn out. Highly recommended.
